This is to be put in for an introduction part to strats or something. Its very generalized. Not for any specific race but for the game itself.

There are many sites that give people like yourself many ideas on what you could do during a game. I must note that everyone that is reading this is looking for interesting things to do that they never though of but know the game fairly well.

During each game you play stop what your doing once and a while and look around the map. Did you attack enough times? Look at what you have and figure out what your aponet is has or is getting. Ask yourself if you are getting the right units for the job. If you see that your apponet has a couple of Reavers at his entrance don’t storm in with Zerglings, you will accomplish nothing. Look at every possible scenario and react accordingly. Get units that will work well against his units. You must learn to understand the game before you try some of the strategies found in our site. You must understand that the more you mine the more you could build. And most important you must be able to remember what units you have already built. Having some units sit around because you forgot you had them isn’t a good idea. Once you are able to look at someone’s base and find the best way to break through his defense without losing your whole army is what will make you a better player. Ex. There is a terran base on an island surrounded by turrets. What’s the best way to break in for any race. The wrong thing to do would be to storm in with weak air units. Using Battle Cruisers to Yatmo them, Corsairs to Web them or even Gardians to take them out from a distance would be the right move. Sure most people could get in with a few Mutalisks or scouts or wraiths but you must remember that the more you lose in units the less units you will have since there is only so much minerals on a map. Every unit you lose sets you back a bit. Conserve and observe. Stop and think. Once you learn to understand this and begin to obey it you will become a powerful StarCraft player.
