Teams in the league play each other in head to head competition. Each team plays a total of 13 games for the regular season. Each team plays teams in their own division twice and in the other division once.
Divisions will change from year to year based on previous years finish, the names of the divisions will also change based on the 2 finalists colors the year before. 2008 Double Week Games-same as last year if we play again
The top six teams in the entire league will make the playoffs,However both divisions winners will make the playoffs and be the number 1 & 2 seeds regardless of their records so even if the number 2 seed has a worse record than any other playoff team they are considered the better team because they won their division.
Division winners will have a 1st round bye.
Stats are done by the cbs web site.
Teams are responsible for checking their own game scores through official statistics. If you find out that a score is wrong YOU MUST CONTACT THE COMMISH BEFORE THRUSDAY OF THAT WEEK. What I will than do is check 3 different sources and use the stat that is most common. If you find out later in the week or season that a stat is wrong,TOUGH SHIT, YOU SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT EARLIER.
Wins and losses are complied by head to head competition each week. Ties count as Ties, and are worth half a win.
Teams will acquire Mass head to head records based on how many teams they outscore each week. All regular season scoring rules applies. These wins will be cumulative for the entire season. ex. If Shawn beats Fabri 140-139 and is the highest scoring team that week his record would be 9-0, and Fabri would be 8-1. The same theory would be applied in week 2 and records will be added together each week. We will have 17 weekly prizes(paid at the end of the season)of $20 per week. If 2 teams tie in any week the money will be split. At the end of the season we will have 1st prize of $100, & 2nd $80 and a 3RD of $50 If there is a tie at the end of the season for any postion the team that outscored the other more times during the season wins, if still tied split the money.
Changing or Rules:
All rule changes will be made prior to the start of the season. The League Commish has the authority to change any and all rules. During the season if a problem comes up with any rules the commish will decide the outcome or use the panel to help. The Commish has final say on anything not in the rules that comes up,Also should the commish decide to put something up for vote he must receive a unanimous vote to pass during season.
The drafting order is determined by the order the teams finished last season. The draft order is as follows:
1st thru 4th pick is determined by the losers tournament, the winner of the tourney picks 1st the runner up 2nd, the 3rd pick goes to the winner of the losers of the semifinals of the losers tourney .
The 5th and 6th is determined by the Wildcard Game(week13)losers. They will play each other in a three week cumulative game in weeks 14,15,16. The team with the highest score is the winner and will receive the 5th pick.
The 7th and 8th picks are determined by the losers of The semifinals(week 14) game. They will play in the 3rd place runners up game in wks 15 & 16. The winner of this game(highest 2 wk total) wins the money for 3rd place and will be the 8th pick, the 7th pick will go to the loser of this game.
The 9th pick goes to the New World Bowl loser.
The 10th pick goes to the League Champion.If we have a tie and have co champions the the team that won their game in the season will get the 10th pick, if still tied the team with more points in the reg season is the tenth spot.
The rest of the draft rounds will alternate even rounds 10-1, odd rounds 1-10, we will have as many rounds needed to fill the rosters.
Time limit for the selection will be decided at the draft. Remember if you go over the time you will lose your pick in that round.
As always a team may draft 1 NFL rookie to their team that is not counted against you when it comes time for your protection. You may not cut, trade,or place this player on Ir during the season, you can only get rid of him during the off season. Also YOU MUST decide on protection day if you are keeping your rookie for the next season.

New Rookie Protection Rule--we will still draft rookies and protect them as always however going into the season(as discussed late last year when everyone was told about this ) if you are not happy with your current rookie you may pay $20 extra to change that rookie to another rookie that is on your final roster from the previous season..If this move is done in season Commish must be notified!!
RESERVE LIST formally Injured Reserve:
Ir is a privalge and costs money to use. Each team will only get to use Ir 4 times in a season if they so chose, the 1st two times will cost $10, the 3rdand 4th will cost $15.
Heres how it works, if a player is injured or you need a spot on your roster but you dont want to lose that player you may put him on Ir.***new 2008*** Once there he MUST stay there for a minimum of 4 weeks you CANNOT USE THIS PLAYER FOR THOSE 4 WEEKS. Once the 4 weeks is up its decision time for you;
you do not need to pick a player up and fill your roster unless u need a player for a game
NEW AS OF 2016..Reserve Recall
If for any reason a team would like to activate their reserve player sooner than the 4 wks it costs $10 to do so
NEW AS OF 2017*** Actual Injured Reserve.. If a player is placed on IR/Recall by their NFL Team That player must stay there for 8wks b4 potentially recalling them..So for us we will follow the same rule.. If you use this designation the player must remain ther for 8wks. No option for paid Recall
The only way you can leave him on IR where he will have to remain for the rest of the season/playoffs as well is if this player is on IR in the NFL, This rule has come into effect do to many of you complaining about guys hiding players
If a team choses to use Ir money will be taken out of your reserves, if you owe money the commish MUST have money before the next game or team will be fined and that player will be suspended that week
Season long ir use with preseason saftey net 3 options:
NEW as of 2006*** No Playoff IR
Protections are due in Aug usually after each team has played 1 game,
***NEW FOR 2004***Each team may protect up to 2 Players each season not counting their rookies. As of 1998 you may not protect a player more than 3 times in a row, Each team can protect no more than 1 Team qb, 1rb,1wr or 1 tight ends . Tes and Wrs are not the same postion and you may keep one of each if you choose.
Keep in mind even though they dont count as against you as 1 of your 2 protections if you keep a rookie he will count towards your 3 yr maximum for protecting a player. Also you must decide on protection day if your are keeping this player for the upcoming season.
^^** Players are allowed to be on a team no more than 4 seasons Yes its only 3 protections however if you trade for a player in offseason and he is protected that off season techinically you can get a 4th protection since he has yet to be on your team 4 seasons.
Preseason Safety Net.
I REALLY WOULD LOVE TO EXTEND PROTECTION DAY TO RIGHT BEFORE THE DRAFT BUT FOR PLANNING PURPOSES THAT CANT BE DONE.
Heres how it works---If after protection day and before draft day one of your protections retires, gets cut, gets suspended or gets hurt, you may be able to go back to your original team from last yr and protect another player. The ways that this can happen are this,
ALSO KEEP IN MIND OUR FREE AGENCY DATE IS IN JULY COMISSH WILL SET DATEAND THAT IS WHEN WE OFFICALLY CAN MAKE DEALS.
THERE ARE NO ACCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE AND IF IT IS DISCOVERED THAT ANY TEAM THAT ATTEMPTS TO SLIP ONE IN AND GETS IT BY ME WILL FORFEIT ALL GAMES THAT PLAYER WAS IN THEIR STARTING LINEUP. SO IF I FORGET THAT YOU HAD A PLAYER AND YOU REACQUIRE HIM AT ANY POINT AND I FIND OUT LATER ALL GAMES WILL BE FORFEITED. THIS RULE IS BEING PUT INTO PLACE TO ELIMINATE GUYS HOARDING ONE GUY FOR THEIR ENTIRE CAREERS. OBVIOUSLY THE WAY AROUND THIS IS TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU NEVER GET TO THE 3 YR. PROTECTION MAX ON A PLAYER. AN EXAMPLE OF THIS WOULD BE IF YOU ONLY PROTECTED A GUY 2 TIMES AND YOU CUT HIM AND THAN REDRAFT HIM. THAN TECHNICALLY HIS CLOCK RESTARTS.
Team Quarterback Rule:
Each team will select a team qb and will receive points for all players that play qb for that team in 1 game, However the stats will not be combined, each player that plays will get a separte score and then the scores will be added together to get the final for that postion.example- Tyrod Taylor is 11 of 20 200yds, 1 50 yd td =19 points, he gets hurt and Cardelle Joness is 10 of 20 100yds 0 tds = 6 points than for that position you get 25pts not their combined stats/points which would be higher due to bonuses
YOU CAN ONLY GET TD PTS FROM THE TM QBS POS FROM ONE PLAYER SO IF YOUR GUY THORWS IT TO ANOTHER QBS YOU CAN ONLY GET IT FROM ONE GUY. WE DO NOT PLAY INDIV QB TM MEANS YOU HAVE THE TM you also cant get the reception pt if it was thrown to the qb by the other qb
The following players are picked from any NFL team by each fantasy team:
2 Team Qbs, 4 Rbs, 5Wrs, 2Tes, 2Ks,1 Rookie , this constitutes a full roster you do not need to have a full roster to play< ie u make an unbalanced trade and ur short a guy or u place a player on IR and dont want to replace him at this time
If it is discovered at the during the draft that a team picked too many players at a given position, the last player picked at that position will be taken off that team. They will not be able to re pick a player for that round until the end of the draft.Teams who picked after the illegal pick will be given the option of taking that player to replace the player they picked. If they do so, than the player they picked will be offered to the next team and so on, and so on.
If it is discovered after the draft that a team has too many players at 1 position and not enough at another, than the last players chosen at the overloaded positions will be removed and placed back in the player pool.The open spot at the other positions will remain open until a transaction is used to replace them.
NEW AS 2017 Transactions:
The new system is based on a Priority list. The seasons first order will be chosen on draft day.
To explain this in the simplest terms basically teams will put in a request for a free agent thru the CBS web site on any of the given transaction days(tuesday,fridays,sat). At the end of the day(10pm deadline each day) I will go thru and process all claims in order of which team has the highest priority(#1 than 2 etc).
If no teams put in a claims for the same player on that day, the team that put that claim in will receive that player and move to the bottom of the priority list. Every time you pick up a player your team will move to #10 on the list.
Now if another team or teams put in claims that day for the same player that's when the Priority list will be used to determine which team gets that player, the team lowest(ie ranked #1) on the list will get the player and than move to the bottom of the list. All claims will be processed at the end of every day and will be done in order of the list not by the time you called in.
SAMPLE PRIORITY LIST based on a 5 team league:
Joe calls in at 9am for a rb-----frank at---10am for a qb------lou at----5pm for te-----bre at --530 for a k----and Matt at 930pm for wr..
Now since none of them called for the same player the way these transactions would be processed according to the list, so even though Matt called in last on that day because he has top priority this day his claim is processed 1st and he would than move to #5 on the list for this example. Than Frank would be processed and he would move to 5 and Matt to 4. By the time the days transactions are all processed the list for the next day would be the same as it was to start this day.
Now lets say on this same day Frank and Bre each requested 2 moves this day. The way this is handled is all 1st claims will be processed as I stated above than, all the 2ND claims would be done, so in this example franks 2ND move would be processed and he would move to #5 and the new order of the list would than be
than I would process Fabris and the final list for the day would end looking like this:
I know at first read this system may seem complicated but it really is very simple just expect that when you request a player and get that player you will move to the bottom of the list. If guys that were under you when the day started also get players they will than move below you on the list.
With this system there is NEVER any conflict when it comes to getting a player.

AFTER THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED TEAMS WILL STILL BE ABLE TO ADD PLAYERS FOR THE ENTIRE REG SEASON AT AN ADDTIONAL COST OF $10 PER PLAYER, TEAMS ELIMINATED FROM PLAYOFFS MAY NOT!! ONLY TEAMS STILL ALIVE GET 1ST CRACK, NON PLAYOFF TEAMS PRIORITY SPOT ONLY COUNTS ON SATS
SUNDAY MOVES.. If you want to add a guy on sunday commish must be notified b4 1230 or a half hr b4 1st game, it costs $20 to do this and you must use this player in that weeks game . also
,fri & Sat are transaction days you must use cbs site if you can, if you have a comp prob you must than call Fabri at 308-9895 during the hours of 8am-10pm, you must talk to ME if making a transaction not using web site.
The trading deadline is Week 8 no trade will be accepted after Week 8. Our Week 8 begins after the Week 7 Monday night game ends. A trade MUST be called in by both owners for it to be valid and can be done any day from tues-sat
**New As of 2009 each team only allowed 2 reg season trade***
If a team has players with the same last name and calls in and jsut says the last name, the commish will try to determine which player was meant by reviewing the open position based on the rest of the activations. If both players play the same postion the player called last week lineup will get the nod, if in a case of 2 rb named davis and they both played the week before for you than this new week u want to only play one of them please be specfic or receive 2 zeros that week.
LEAGUE TIEBREAKER SYSTEMS:
AS of 2001 season Ties for Division Championship:
1. Three or more teams:
Note: if one of the teams falls out(WINS) at any step and a tie remains among the others we revert to step one, Unless it has to than go to a 2 team tiebreaker.ex if tm 1, tm 3, and tm 5 are tied with reg season rec and still tied after step 1 but than after step 2 tm 1 wins, they than would win the div, than tm 3 and tm 4 go back to step 1 to decide their spots in the division
1. Two teams:
TIEBREAKERS FOR PLAYOFF
** ONLY ONE TEAM ADVANCES TO THE PLAYOFFS IN ANY TIE BREAKING FORMULA. SO IF 4 ARE TIED FOR 2 SPOTS THAN WE DECIDE THE 1ST SPOT, 1ST THAN START PROCESS OVER FOR LAST SPOT.
TO BREAK A TIE FOR WILDCARD TEAM:

example: lou,& andy are in same division,bre & matt are in another division and all 4 are all 6-6 fighting for last 2 spots
. 1st we get it down to 1 from each div:
lou was 2-0 vs andy in div games so he moves to step 1 of the process, bre & matt were 1-1 in heads up games, but matt had a 5-3 div rec, bre was 4-4 so matt moves on to step 1 of the process.
Next lou vs matt for 1st wild card lou beat matt so he gets 1st spot and is the #5 seed.
well matt,bre,andy all still tied, so we re start.
andy moves to step 1 since he is in the other division and so does matt for same reasons as before(he wins ties with bre)
. now matt vs andy for last spot and andy gets it cause he beat matt in thier heads up game.If they tied in their headsup game than they go to the next step of total pts and andy would get the spot due to more pts.
PLAYOFF GAME ENDS IN A TIE:
If two teams tie in the New World Bowl I feel that no team should be slighted by a stupid tie breaker formula so we will have Co Champions and the prize money winners and losers share will be split between them. As for the trophy 1 team gets it for half the offseason and the other the rest of it.
