Dear Family,
This is the best present I could think of to give you, an intimate touch of history for our family. We all knew we went back more than three generations. A couple of months ago while surfing, I plugged in the name Kenyon Cooke Huggins, and look what I found. Now, for those of you who aren’t sure of even the last three generations, Kenyon was father to me and Geoff. Our recent family tree is below. I found courageous people and scoundrels, blood lines shared with Queen Mum of England, and with a Sagamore princess. I have studied the history of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, searched long and diligently in the history of Bradford, Chemung, and Tioga counties, Pennsylvania and New York, and have only scratched the left ear of the cat. Thanks to Shannan Kain, who has found some wonderful things. It is because of her research that we know about Alice Daggett and who she was, as well as having researched the Clan Lamont and our family crest and tartan. Thanks also to Geoff, who supplied me with bio of Raymond Hammond. I really need your help to correct all the errors that exist in this document. Please check birth years, etc. and send me a small bio on each of you to build subsequent pages. I could use some pictures, too. New projects will be a photo page.
