He does homer in the 5th inning though as the rout was on with the Rummies scoring 11 runs in four innings as Gallardo coasted till a rocky 9th when the game was decided. Jacob was a stone cold lock to roll power numbers with runners on base adding to the score. The Rummies shot back out to a 7-3 lead in the 7th after a Rollins triple scores two and Bernadina brings him on home the following at bat. Not to be denied though the Bohs score 4 in the final 3 frames to tie it and send it into extra innings after a Hart PH HR in the 9th. The Bohs get a leadoff single in the bottom of the 10th and a steal of 2nd by PR Victorino puts the winning run at 2nd with no outs and a battle of strategy begins. The Rummies intentionally walk Zobrist to set up the double play and Victorino steals 3rd after a fly out to right by Jones. So the Rummies walk Aoki to load the bases putting force outs at all bases and the Bohs squeeze and with 28 chances to score they get forced out at home. The inning ends with a Mauer strikeout and they move to the 11th. With one out in the 11th and having put down the first 5 batters he had seen Fernando Rodney begins to fall apart.......a 1-out double by Forsythe sets the tone and a ground out to short puts him on 3rd where Alex Avila spins a 2nd column HR to open a 2- run lead on the leagues highest rated reliever. Rookie Rumrunner Closer Jonathon Herrera closed out a 2.1 IP win allowing 1-run early but then holding on to finish the game. GAME 3 BOHS 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 0 2 0 RISP 0-4 RUMRUNNERS 0 0 1 1 0 0 1 1 X - 4 7 0 RISP 1-6 W - GONZALEZ (CG) L - PRICE Gio Gonzalez spins a 2-hitter as Rosario and Frazier's solo HR's are enough to give him the lead he needs. GAME 4 BOHS 0 0 3 1 0 0 0 0 0 - 4 7 1 RISP 2-9 RUMRUNNERS 4 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 - 5 4 2 RISP 0-5 W - HANRAHAN L - LOHSE SV - HERRERA Rosario and Rizzo both homer in the 1st inning to ruffle up Kyle Lohse but the Bohs come back in the 3rd and 4th innings to tie the game off a Kemp HR and a string of singles in the 4th. The Rummies get a solo HR from Rizzo, his 2nd of the game, which proves to be the game winner as the whole relief staff pitches 3 2/3 IP of scoreless relief to win the game. Rumrunner Shots - The last time the Rumrunners opened the season with a series sweep was 2001 after their first draft when they swept the Oldbays but finished the season we believe with around 28 wins. This series was an anomaly in that the Rummies die were hot at exactly all the right moments while the Bohs were not. Rookies Rosario and Rizzo had 3 HR's a piece for a total of 9 HR's for the series for the Rummies as they slugged .536 and had an OPS of .863 scoring 30 runs in 4 games. Next up the Exit on Friday and we'll see if the die continue to be hot.......
