COCs season kicked off with a 6-game series vs the Fireballs.In game one with the score
 tied at two after the 5th inning, the Corn’s offense kicked into high gear. Jeffers
 blasted a 3-run homer in the 6th followed by a 3-run homer by Garcia in the 7th making
 the score 8-3. Lewis, 3B for FB, started the bottom of the 1st with a solo homer.
 However, Elder had a strong outing for the Corn, going 7+ innings for the win. Game
 highlights: COC - Seager went 3-4 with a walk, double and a rbi. FB - Robert was 2-5
 with a double, triple, 2-runs.

Game 2A Hendricks vs Webb

In game two, Hendricks pitched 5.1 productive innings for the win. Once again, the Corn
 offense knocked out 14 hits with Seager going 3-4 with 2-doubles, 2-runs, a walk and a
 rbi. Marsh and McCutchen also went 3-4.

Corn scored five of their six runs in the first four innings. FB cut the lead to three
 with a 2-run blast by Torkelson in the 6th. Corn relievers Graterol and Mayza shut down
 the FB offense in the final three innings. Game highlights: Alonso, 2-4 and Torkelson,
 1-3 w/ a walk and 2-run homer. COC - Olson 3-4 and HR, Marsh 2-4, 2-doubles and Seager
 2-4 and 2-runs.

FB grabbed their first win in the series with an extra inning game. In the 2nd inning
 Realmuto tripled in a run but was thrown out at home on the play. Greene hit a 2-run
 homer in the 5th, but Corn tied the game at four by scoring 2-runs on a PB and Sac-fly.
 In the 10th, FB took the lead with a lead-off walk, a stolen base and a 2-out double by
 Soto. FB relievers shut down the Corn in the last 5-innings. Game highlights: FB -
 Greene 2-5, HR, Lewis 2-5 scoring the go-ahead run-in 10th. Swanson 2-4, 2-runs, double
 and SB. COC - Seager 2-5, 2-doubles, a run and Torres 2-4, run and SB.

FB scored early and held the lead to the end. Torkelson took control of the game going 3-
4 with two HRs, his 3rd of the series. FB relievers shut down the COC offense for the
 final three innings. Senzel added two doubles as did Hayes.

In the final contest, COC squeaked out a 5-2 victory. COC scored three runs in the 7th
 with a homer from Torres and then back-to-back rbi doubles by Ramirez and Seager. Senga
 pitched 6 quality innings.
