District Descriptions of San Travistine, California

About our City

San Travistine is a purely fictional city in California. It is booming with economic growth and the last census boasted a population of over a million people. The weather is always sunny, with mixes of humidity and the rare occasion of foul weather.

The Beaches

Emerald Beach: Located in the north section of the city's coastal zone, this is the largest beach in San Travistine. It plays host to the boardwalk, peer, condos, and the local yacht club. This is a place full of shops, ships and fishing.

Night Beach: This beach is located in the southern most point of the coastline in San Travistine. This beach is badly maintained and poorly patroled. At night Brujah and biker gangs rule the sandy dunes. The Gangerel are anxious to make it into a preserve before all the wild life becomes beer cans & motorcycle tracks.

Saints Beach: Inbetween shopper's heaven and any normal man's hell lies this beach. It's a place to put your thoughts together, soak up a tan, or go surfing. Most people prefer to come here for their family outings or romantic day trips.

The Mecca

This area is the downtown district. Major corporations, businesses, restaurants, skyscrapers, and the career people can be found here. The most fashinable and trendy nightclubs are found here. The most popular being The Eurotrash, Gothic Myth (a vampire favorite, though cliche'), Peppers, and Techtronaka. Business offices, tourist shops and the major exclusive designer clothing stores can be found here as well.

Thrill Gardens

Just a step below one of those major theme parks, Thrill Gardens is a place for nonstop fun. With great rides, Gypsy fortune readers, games, indoor water park, sporting events, concerts, flea market, and carnival food it keeps you coming back for more. Ravnos sightings generally occur around this park.

The Lavender Rose

This is the art-deco district. Museums, as well as expensive auction houses, are all located here. Many of the Toreador Artistes have their works on display. Walter's Gallery as well as Travistine Museum of History are the favorite sites to see. Toreadors seem to have run of this district and control most of large art showings.

The Abyss

This area is composed of slums and projects. Low income families and families with too many children are found here. The buildings are rundown and hold no historical value. This area is full of gangs and drug dealers. When you drive through make sure to lock your car doors and roll up the windows.

Red Light District

This belongs to the pimps, prostitutes, pornographers, and those in the business of sex. Strip clubs line the streets and those humans who won't be missed walk by in drugged or alcoholic dazes. The Cat's Meow has been known to be a good place to pick up a meal. No respectable Kindred is seen here.

The Barrens

This area is the wastelands of the city, void of life or civilization. Essentially, it is a closed down industrial park. Lining the unmaintianed roads are long since abandoned warehouses and commercial buildings. A rumored black market is located somewhere underground along the abandoned area. It is rumored that non-Camarilla activities and schemes occur here as plots against the Camarilla Authorities and the prince's throne. "Big Al's Junkyard Treasures" is the only place still in business in this area.

Nature Preserve & Park

This area is beautiful and pristine. The nature preserve has an observeritory platform not only to monitor the many types of wildlife but also to stargaze. The Gangrel are known to meet here to discuss positive possibilities for this area. There are also scattered parks with swings, slides, and other children's amusement features with near by picnic areas. And for the atheletic types there are nature paths and trails.

The Graveyards

A burial ground present in San Travistine for over 100 years. Considered holy ground. Many of our city's long since gone are buried here. There are family crypts, fenced-in cemetery plots, masoleums, and nameless grave sites. Some of the statues marking those of the dead are quite large and stunning to look upon.

The Belmont

This area contains the exclusive hotels and restaurants. Though it resembles the French Quarter, in New Orleans, it has a flare of its own. The hotels are of historic value and are well maintained. Large Victorian homes and mansions owned by the wealthy and the famous are located here. Hotel De Flor is one of the more popular hotels. Prices reach as high as $5000 per night. The service is exquisite and 5 star rated.

De Valuer

This is the upper-class section of the city. It houses the local Giovanni home, a complete replica of the Giovanni loggia located outside the heart of Venice, Italy. The whole area is done in the classic Italian styles had hosts homes for the rich and high ups of the mafia.
