On a side note highly acclaimed rookie sensation Edgerin James had a spectacular showing as he scrambled for 205 yards on 32 carries and 1 TD against the paper thin ST Johns Defense.
Week 1 of the preseason is in the books. And Emmitt Smith Showed shades of past years as to why he might be the greatest runningback of all time. Emmitt Smith gained an astonishing 193 yards on only 27 carries as the Calgary Crusaders walked over the New England Happy Hippos 45 to 5. This game was all Emmitt as the Crusader offense gave the Happy Hippos Defense mega dose of Emmitt up the middle, Emmitt to the right, Emmitt to the left. To be frank Emmitt was just unstoppable on this glorious afternoon.
