In this section I will be discussing some hints and tips that can make your game a lot easier if you follow them and use them.

Hint #1:Upgrading...

In this game you will need to upgrade constantly.Never settle for second best for that may mean the difference between life and death.ALWAYS upgrade as well as you possibly can.It may cost you much more but believe me it is well worth it.

Hint #2:Level Ups...Whenever you are near to gaining a level(1 to 3 fights away) you should immediately save and then fight until you level up.If the level up is a good one you will have more attack,defense,hit % and evade%,hp and mp.If all of those are there this is the best level up you can get.If not keep on trying to get this kind of level up.

Hint #3:Saving...Always save.You will be happy you did if you lose a boss fight or are stuck in an area you cannot pass.Save as often as possible.

Hint#4:Exploring...Explore everything!You never know when you may find a chest or and items that contains good items.If you know your enviroments then you will know what you are doing.

Hint#5:Leveling up(part 2)...Xenogears is a very deep and complex game and you will never know when there will be a boss fight so train your characters...The more you train,the more easier time you'll have beating the game.
Note:(Later in the game a great place to level up is the Duneman Isles.A dragon may take a while to kill but you can get as much as 35,000 exp for each character after you beat one.Also you can get the best character armor after defeating one.)

But if you aren't that far into the game you can always walk around exploring areas and finding items while you gain expierence.

Hint#6: Running away...Running away is a great thing to do in Xenogears if you want to lose.Try to run away only when your health is very low and you know you can't make the battle...But if you do fight a majority of the battles you will get higher levels and become very strong and won't have to worry that much about leveling up.
