Ransom was offered for sale through the Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
His sire is a member of the School ,and so is his dam.
Ransom himself was destined for the School, but he wasn't suited for the rigourous movements of Haute Ecole. So he was offered for sale.
I was visiting Vienna, saw him, and liked him at once.
I think it was his kind nature that won me over. Plus he had a sense of nobleness anf majesty.
So, he came home with me and was welcomed by the other stallions.
A while later, he started showing.
He wasn't suited for Haute Ecole, but he was brilliant at dressage.
At home, he is a absolute gentleman, except sometimes when he decides to act "high and mighty".
King's Ransom - worth his weight in gold.
