You stumble out of the darkness of the Emerald Forest into....
An Orchard?!!!!
Row upon row of fruit trees greet your eyes..apples, oranges, and many more!
They look incredibly well looked after..I wonder who takes care of them?
Hmm..come to think of it, you do feel kinda hungry..I'm sure they won't mind if you take an apple?
Suddenly...
*Stranger! How dare you try to steal our fruit!*
A green equine flies in front of your face, blocking the fruit trees. It has a threatening look on it's face, and you back away carefully.
*Peace , Sham !* Another silver coloured equine canters out from behind a bush. 
followed by a rainbow coloured equine.
*the visitor was hungry , after their long walk, wasn't that right?* the silver coloured one continues. You nod in agreement, saying that you were not aware that you couldn't eat the fruit.
The rainbow coloured one grins. *Oh, but you can.*
You look even more puzzled than before.
The silver one continues. *I don't think we've been introduced. My name is Jem , this rainbow one here is my son Rainglass (or Rain), and our green friend over there is Shamrock, better known as Sham.*
After telling them your name , you ask ~But what sort of creature are you?~
The one called Sham snorts comething about *ignorant visitors* , but Jem tells you *We are a very special breed of Equii , we are Equii of the Stones!*
You are about to ask Jem about the orchard, as you do not wish to anger Sham again - when , another equii trots up with a basket of gardening tools.
*Are these the ones you wanted , mother?* asks the new equii.
*Ah , yes , thank you Win. Could you be a dear and hold the basket for me ?*
And with that , Sham proceeds to prune a apple tree.
You look puzzled for a minute , and seeing your expression , Jem explains.
*Incase you're wondering 'bout Win, she's the product of an extended breeding between Sham and Specs , our only resident stallion.
*My half sister* adds Rainglass.
*I thought it would do them both a little bit of good - as they were always arguing - and it appears to have done the trick !
As you can see , Winterflowers (or Win to us) takes after her mother in that she loves gardening , whereas.....*
*I don't.* concludes another rainbow equii 
Jem smiles. This is Gemlight (or Light) , Win's sister. As you can see , she takes after her father more than anything else.*
A dark blue equii swoops into the clearing on large wings.
*'Lo , all* he whinnies. *Great day for flying today - the wind is just great.*
Jem smiles. *DeWynter , or Wynter as we know him , our second stallion.*
*and flying fanatic* adds Rain.
Wynter snorts. *only because I can* and grins.
Another equii swoops down from the skies , this one is bright pink with a luxurious mane and tail.
*I can too , don't you forget* she grins.
Wynter makes a face . *As if!*
Jem sighs. *That's Rosa . Gets a bit of getting used to , having flying equii.*
A magnificent flame coloured equii trots up.
*As for me , I prefer to keep my feet firmly on the ground !*
Jem chuckles. *That's Flame , our newest stallion. He hates heights :)*
*Doesn't know what he's missing....* Wynter and Rosa chant as they fly away.
The sound of singing suddenly distracts you.
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, oh i do like to be beside the sea...
A small group of 3 equii are singing melodiously , and one appears to be playing the conductor.
Jem grins. *Presenting our newest group of equii and the latest singing sensation !*
*Hello!* the equii chourous.
*I'm Seastar* the blue one smiles and waves his baton.
*I'm Milady* the blue one smiles , her silver mane and tail rippling.
*And I'm the great singing sensation , Wynterose!* the purple one bows and sweetly smiles.
*No , we are too* the other two shout.
Jem nods to you. *Can you guess who their parents are?*
You look at the equii for a long time , then suddenly it clicks into place. DeWynter? you ask.
*Yes , and Rosa too.* Jem nods. *Seastar and Wynterose resemble their parents alot , but I'm not sure about Milady.*
*She's her own equii* sighs Rainglass with a certain look in his eye.
Jem snorts. *Soon I'll be a grandmother at this rate.*
You smile , and ask Jem about the orchard.
*Well, this orchard was created by Rhiannon , for the upkeep of all the equines living here.
It it very hard to fruits on the Isle, as they do not grow here naturally. So, Rhiannon created this orchard , so that all equines could have some fruit.
This is one of the only places on this Isle where you can find fruits growing here. I am told there is another smaller orchard, to feed the smaller equines like the crenels and such, but I have never seen it.*
*And,* adds Jem, *As to Sham's behavior, Sterling placed her in charge of the orchard. I guess because of her colouring , she has a green thumb. Loves getting dirty, she does.
Because of this , she does get a little protective over the orchard, especially when visitors come. She thinks visitors are going to steal all the fruit.*
Suddenly, Jem stops. *But I must take you to meet Specs. I don't think he wants to show himself today.*
Before you can ask ~Who's Specs?~ , you are following Jem down to the riverbank.
There , you can see a large Equii lying by the bank , nose in a large book. 
*This is Spectrum, or Specs as we call him, the only Equii stallion here.*
*And my father !* Light adds.
*Mine too* nickers Rain.
The stallion raises his nose out of the book .
*Is that you, Jem? Rain ? And Light too ? Don't tell me you've brought another visitor. I was just enjoying a good book.*
*Don't worry , Specs, I've done your introduction for you already.* grins Jem. Then, she adds, *Why weren't you there when the visitor arrived, anyway? You were supposed to be there.*
Specs sighs. *I thought I'd be out of the way this time when Sham got cross. She always takes it out on me.*
Jem sighs. *Well, we'll leave you to your book.*
*I'll stay with you , if you like* says Light.
*That'll be nice , Light. Thank you.* says Specs , and the two settle down to read.
As you leave , Jem explains. *Specs is our resident brain. he prefers nothing better than to have his head in a good book - hence the nickname , I suppose. And a bit of peace and quiet. he may seem a little alloof, but he's really a good stallion to be with.*
*Light's totally besotted* giggles Rain.
*So is he* adds Jem. *I guess they're two of a kind , really.*
*As to my son* she nods towards Rain *The only thing he's inherited from him is his colouring. Takes after me more , I think.* She sighs.
After thanking Jem , you decide to leave.
Before you do , Jem plucks an apple from the tree.
*For your travels,* she explains. *Just make sure Sham doesn't see. Oh, and our stats are over there.*
You take a look as you make your way onward, munching the very juicy apple.
