You are just in the middle of counting steps , when , suddenly , you hear a voice.

You look up , and see a brown pegasus hovering above you.
You stammer out an answer as the pegasus lands , grinning.
*That wasn't very hospitable , sending you out into this weather , was it? Did Marengo send you?
Without waiting for an answer , the pegasus snorts.
*Well, get on! We haven't got all day , you know.*
You gingerly climb on , and the pegasus takes off.
Soon , you are swooping up the mountain , and landing at a ledge near the top.
Climbing off , you stammer a thanks.
*No , please don't thank me , it wasn't a problem.*
And, as the pegasus takes off , he adds :
*Oh , and tell them that Robespierre sent you!*

Much later , gingerly trudging through the cave , and carrying a torch , you are curious. ~Who's THEY?~ you wonder.
Suddenly....
A large hippogryph stands 
, blocking the passage.You are terribly afraid - after all, do hippogryphs eat people? - when the hippogryph moves aside.
*Hmm...I see you will do no harm. My name is Earthsong.
I guess it would be either Marengo or Robespierre that sent you?*
When you nod , the hippogryph continues. *Follow me. But I would be cautious , though - my mate does not like humans.*
You follow Earthsong through the passageway , until you get to a large cavern , where a golden hippogryph lies ,
and next to her is...the EGG! 
*this is my mate , Goldendawn* says Earthsong.
*Another Human? Can they not leave us alone?* grumbles the female.
*Hush, my dear, this one means us no harm, they just wish to see the egg.* soothes Earthsong.
*Oh, I guess so..and if Marengo trusts , then I guess I will too , also.* relents Goldendawn.
She lets you get closer to take a look at the egg.
*It has not hatched yet..but hopefully it will soon.* sighs Goldendawn.
*She longs for a child* whispers Earthsong. *The stats are over there*
