Our aim is to breed horses with a steady temperament, yet the courage to perform well.
There is always a exception to the rule, and Lucky is just that.
He appears to know only one speed - fast .
He provides us with a daily challenge. I suppose he has all this energy because he is the youngest of all our stallions.
It proves useful on the track - he practically flies!
Lucky's story started on a racing stud not far from here, in Ireland.
He has racing blood in his pedigree , and he was the fastest of all the colts there.
I suppose it was his temprament which made them decide to sell him.
In any case, it was exellent news for me , then searching for a TB stallion.
I saw him and decided that he was the one. Besides, no-one else would take him.
He might have ended up in the Humane association.
Instead, he is healthy, charging around our green paddocks, and bringing in blue ribbons.
But stay tuned for the next chapter in his life- I smell a champion!
