You land with a bump on soft grass. You must be now in the Meadows.
*I really must get Blanche to fix that portal* . You look up and there is a bay mare looking at you
*My name is Dark Lady , Queen of these meadows and the Isle Horse herd.*
"Isle horse herd?" you ask.
*Yes. Come, let me intoduce you to some.*
You follow her,
and suddenly come face to face with a chestnut stallion.
*This is Augustus , my friend and counsellor.*
*I was the second Isle horse to come and live here*, Augustus explains.
*We were here by ourselves for quite a while , before the others came.*
"What others?" you think,
but then, a sand coloured mare gallops up.
She stops suddenly, scattering sand everywhere.
*Whoops!* she grins mischeviously.
*Haven't got it quite right yet, have we?*
a white stallion
suggests slyly.
*Oh shut up*, the sand coloured one says, tossing her mane.
Dark Lady rolls her eyes.
*Breeze and Snow , the rest of the herd , and the most mischevious pair one would hope to find!*
*All in a day's work* Breeze grins.
*It's a pity the stables closed down,
otherwise we might have expected a mating for Dark Lady and Augustus*, suggests Snow.
*You'll get no such thing.* says Dark Lady.
But you can see the look in her eyes
as she gazes at Augustus.
As if to change the subject, Augustus says
*there is a scrapbook over there with our stats. maybe you would like to take a look?*
You agree , and peer at the yellowed pages.
