I was introduced to the Fresian breed a while ago, and decided I would like to own one of these magnificent horses.
My chance came when I met a lady who bred Fresian horses near Newmarket, England.
She imported them from Holland as well as breeding her own .
By chance, she had recently imported a young Fresian stallion, and was intending to sell him.
I jumped at the chance, and soon he was mine !
He soon proved to have a gentle nature, and exellent in dressage and driving.
He has a small show record, but it is growing.
When we can find him a lady companion (eg. a Fresian mare) and he gets bred, we wouldn't be surprised if they came out tops in dressage and driving.
Watch this space! I think we have a champion in the making.
