The tale of the Spectrum horses...
Spectrum horses originally came from a faraway island, where all was peace and harmony.
Then , suddenly, one day , a dark force came , which robbed the island - and indeed the horses- of their colours.
Things were going very badly indeed , when four horses - two mares and two stallions - found a portal which led to the Spectrum falls in my realm.
Naturally, we all wanted to help , so we agreed to house the four horses , and helped them bring here others of their kind.
Unfortunally , we can't house them all , so we are looking for kind and loving homes , where they will be looked after.
That way , the Spectrum breed will never die out.
Spectrum horses are about the size of normal horses , and resemble them as well - except for the colour.
They have the gift of speech - some a little too much!-and can live very comfortably with either equines , or other Spectrum horses.
They prefer to live in a green environment, with a nice supply of running water.
Most Spectrum horses live in forests , but there have been tales of them being able to cope with living in a rainforest.
Male and females are different from one another , so you can tell them apart.
As you can see , the stallions have short manes and tails, except for a long braid.
A typical stallion decoration would be - feathers attached to the braids , or a ring.
Mares have long , luxurious manes and tails , and they love to decorate it with beads and ribbons.
Some , it might be said, can go a little *overboard* with decorations...
Their names usually come from their body colour-
eg. River's Run, Golden Harvest
and their name comes in two parts.
