Rachele's Fastpitch Page

Thank you for visting my brand new Fastpitch Softball Page. My name is Rachele. I am 14 and I'm in my 5th season of playing Fastpitch Softball. I play backcatcher and have been told I am good at it.I have been playing catcher since the middle of my first year,way back in 96. Although now I play catcher pretty much all the time, I have played other positions including 3rd base, 1st base and Shortstop. The infield position are all fun, but my true position is backcatcher. Alot of people who have tried backcatching have told me it's too hard for them. It's not a hard postion for me, but I think it takes a certain kind of player to make a good backcatcher.I have more information on this subject on my backcatching page. This year I'm hoping to get on a more competitive team. I have made a competitive team this year, we have been practiced about 2 months without even saying a grain of shale. Now, we have finally had a few practices outside and we are more then ready to start the season. On the "MY TEAM" page I have included a schedule of all our seeding rounds games. I will add the regular season games once I get the scheldule. Also we will be attended 4 tournaments this season, 2 of which are out of province! First we have an in-towm tournament here in Calgary on the weekend of May 5-7 2000. Then the next weekend we have a tournament in Morinville, Alberta the weekend of May 13-14. The next weekend we have another tournament in Trail, BC May 19-21 as well as another one in Cranbrook, BC on June 10-11. We are also hoping to qualify for the Alberta Summer Games on July 20-23 (if we make it) we will be representing Calgary in what we call "Mini Olympics". We also have City Playoffs on June 13-18 and Provincials in Westaskawin July 7-9! So far that's the only schedule I have except for the stuff which is posted on my "My Team" page.
