Shortly following the Dilgar War, the Vree Conglomerate unveiled the Xill hull. Lacking the Antimatter Shedder, the Xill seemed an expensive and more menacing version of the Xorr. As science was approaching the conversion of the Xill Battle Saucer to the Shedder version, many Xill hulls were decommissioned due to incompatibility with the new systems. The Guild of Mercenaries leaped at the chance to modify the Xill hulls to help bring more fighters than the current Xeel's were capable of bringing.
The Xeex Fleet Carrier was deployed in 2250 to help bring more fighters into escort groups who suffer from large Raider attacks. The increased C&C room allows for more skilled fighter operation, which is why a few Xeex's will always be in centre of any Carrier Group.
