EA Nova Dreadnought [Epsilon Model]

After the disasters of the Earth-Minbari War, the Alliance began mass producing ships to replace their losses, which had amounted to nearly the entire fleet. By the time the Omega class began to come off the ways, the EA found itself with a large number of obsolescent, or anyway less than bleeding edge, ships that could not be replaced without reducing the strength of the fleet of more dangerous levels. Accordingly, the Navy experimented with ways to increase the effectiveness of those vessels. One of the more successful variants was the Nova Epsilon. This vessel was refitted to take advantage of newly aquired technologies and to better fit the revised doctrine that grew out of the War. Only a few Novas went through the overhaul before the program was stopped, alledgedly for budgetary reasons. In fact, the new, more powerful Novas did not mesh with then VP Clark's plan to place officers of questionable loyalty on inferior ships.
