Beyond your farm lies a world of possibility, the mountains. Now, unlike in Harvest Moon SNES, you're a vegabond explorer! So after you've sheered the sheep and milked the cows, you want a little adventure, and this game has plenty of it! There's the Green Ranch, the forest, the hot spring and (get this) even mines where you can look for valuable minerals to fill your wallet in the winter, and a beach!!!. Lets go exploring!

A short distance from your farm lies Green Ranch. Run by Ann's famliy, this is where you'll get all of your livestock from. When you first visit this farm, Ann will kindly give you a very useful horse. Also for sale are chicken, cow, and sheep feed, potion (use to make cows pregnant), and medicine.(used to heel sick animals) Heres a list of prices.

As you can see, cows are the most
expensive item on the counter. But even if you have to pinch your
pennies, buying a cow
is well worth the effort. Thay are probably, depending on how well
you take care of them, the biggest income earner on your farm. So be
a good farmer. Sheep are pretty good to. Have a variety of different
animals and have fun with them. Find out your favorite. Than vote on
the polls!
The mines are open in the first winter. They are located near the tree by the carpenter's house. Here you can mine for valuable minerals that sure do pay off. Is it just me, or does this game focus on money alot???
Ah, yes. The vineyard. Here is where Karen hangs out sometimes, plus, workers who, if you give them the right gift, can give you a recipe! It is also where berries are grown for the wine and beer that is sold at the bar. Take a look around. See that big tree there in the corner? (not shown here) Does it look dead to you?.....

Chopping wood fills up you log count thingy by the barn. You use the wood to buy fences or material for add-ons for your house. Here's a list of add-ons.

As you can see, the greenhouse is very expensive. But, believe me, it is well worth it. Time stops inside, so you can take as long as you want without having to worry about the shipper coming before you're done. And, it is protected from dogs and strong winds. BEWARE OF HURRICANES!!! They could blow it down. And, the other bad thing is when it rains, you have to water the plants.
