Description

Infested terrans are unique in appearance. Some have tentacles, some have insectoid heads, and others have skeletal wings. Most are marines, and thus have broken armor for minor protection.

Encounter

Infested terrans are used as terror weapons by the swarm. They attack with fists or claws until mortally wounded. Then they explode, releasing a super toxic and corrasive cloud with a massive concussive force that has been known to take out small buildings. It inflicts d12+8m to 4 meters, d12m to 8 meters, d6m to 12 meters, and d12w to 20 meters. Any living thing surviving the expolsion has a chance of getting an Amazing disease. Usually 1-8 infested terrans are encountered.

Description

Mutalisks look like winged eels 3 meters long. Their body is wider than high and has only wings- no legs. They do have spines on the bottom of the body, but are unable to use them for combat. They can land, and do so to rest, but they can not move on the ground.

Encounter

Mutalisks attack with a spit of concentrated stomach acid. It forms a cone 4 meters long by 2 meters wide. Since they attack in great numbers from above, up to 12 can attack a human sized creature per phase. Usually there are 24-200 mutalisks in one flock.

Description

Overlords are blimp like creatures used for swarm control, transport, and scouting. They have 8 limbs- 6 thin, spider like legs and 2 huge grasping limbs used for feeding (these can not be used in combat). Each is 12 meters long and 8 meters wide, thus allowing them to carry 2 ultralisks, 4 hydralisks, 8 defilers, zerglings and infested terrans, or any combination of the above.

Encounter

As one of the few strains that can be communicate with intelligent beings. They almost allways have some sort of guards, usually hydralisks or mutalisks. As they relay the Cerebrates' orders, the overlords are always found somewhere on a battlefleld. Destroying a overlord causes the zerg under its control to go bezerk until another takes command. Their senses are so powerful that they can detect any movement, living thing, and power source within 20 meters.

Upgrades:

Ventral Sacs allow the overlords to carry other Zerg.

Antennae doubles the awareness range.

Pneumatized Carapace doubles the speed of the overlords.
