Why the 68 Delta will be a supercar

My fiance's webpage (top notch)

Well, this is my first webpage on one of these remote access type servers like Angelfire, and it has proven to be a completely different expirience than what I'm used to. Due to this, my page will likely be a bit inferior until I've got the system mastered. Onto the context. This page is about three things: Computer Security, Video Games, and the car I will begin to rennovate this weekend (tommarow). Eventually each subject will have it's own individual page. Now I'd like to dedicate this webpage to my true love and future wife Alaura, and recommend that for any subject where you might need recipes or decorating tips, among other things, you check out her page immediately. ***************************************************************************** The Delta: I've made the decision to purchase a junkyard 68 Delta. For 1500 dollars, this car has the original interiour and dash (except for the speedometer), radio, suspension and body. Under the hood, the original engine, a 305, has been scrapped in order to supliment a much more worthy device, the mighty Oldsmobile 455. The projected horsepower is going to be surplus 430. The budget on this car will not exceed 2700 dollars. First things to do are to run a complete diagnostic on the engine and car, to weed out any potentially serious (maybe even dangerous) problems we're not yet aware of. After this, we must modify the 455 that has been implemented, with hedders, and a four barrel carb. We will probably replace some minor parts on the engine other than those, but for no reason other than maintance. After we finish with that, we will remove it's single exhuast, which is far too small for our engine. Replacing it will be a dual exhuast with wide barrels, along with new mufflers that are responsible for 123 decibles, which will amplify our healthy car sound. After this, we must modify the gas pedal in the car. Normally, this is an unnecassary thing, but the car's power has gone way up than what it used to be, and the gas pedal has only a couple inches between up and down, making careful acceleration very difficult. To obey the speed limit, we're going to have to replace the pedal with one that has a wider distance between it and the floorboard. On the subject, if the car is too fast, we will impliment another valve to put the horses on the higher speeds, making it possible for us to go somewhere without idling at 45+ mph. While we will be working on the gas pedal, we will also remove all the fabric and carpet in the interiour, and replace it with something new, as it is somewhat torn up. The dashboard, while in excellant condition, will be repainted because it is so faded. During our interiour work, we will also be installing new speakers in the car for some good oldies of that era. Because the car is as much a retro as it is a hotrod, we are going to leave the original radio player both intact and functional. But to get modern playback, we're going to install a 10 disk cd changer in the trunk of the car (also going to be recarpeted) and a small control panel near the steering wheel on the dash. After applying the finishing touches on the interiour, we will put on all new wheels, and get it painted professionally. The color, to be good to the original of the car, will be powder blue, as it was originally. There is some minor rust damage on the exteriour that must be removed, but that won't be a problem. After all this, we have my next car, faster than almost any car stock ever made, loaded with a CD player, for under 3 thousand dollars. Not bad. Look forward to pictures and scores of how it runs when were finished. By the way, my favorite car is the 1970 Chevelle SS (with a 454) and it thrills me that this car will be even faster than it, the king of the musclecars. *********************************************************************** Computer security: Not much on this subject right now, except I must send you to two excellant links, www.signal9.com and www.citadel.com. These may not be encoded gateways yet, but you can copy them to your address bar and go to them like that. Signal9 is your cheap software firewall solution, and Citadel makes both the best encryption program known as FolderBolt and a highly acclaimed Windows protector known as WinShield. Folderbolt, in my opinion, brought new levels of use to the field, and I think deserves many awards. But that dosn't seem to be happening. If I had to recommend one thing for an improvement though, it would be compatibility with McFee Antivirus and Blowfish Algorithm decryption. ************************************************************************* Games: Soon there will be reviews and strategies for what I feel are some of the b returnest (or the worst) shooters of all time. Coming soon are: ************ Turok2: An ingenuis game. Interesting weapons, creative deaths, and stunning level design all add to it's cause. The graphics are amazing. The weapons in this game are the most complete set in any game ever created. My favorite being the Razorwind. For the N64 or PC. Strategies: The Razorwind is an excellant all purpose weapon, but it has it's flaws. For instance, against multiple enemies you can be attacked many times while waiting for your discus to return. Another problem is that it goes straight back to you, giving away your exact location. You can use the razorwind for lighting at times when you want to have a weapon ready instead of switching to your flare. Did you miss with the razorwind? It is a bit hard to aim, but stand directly between your opponent and the discus for a second chance. The shredders explosive shells are incredibly powerful. In some hallways, like the ones in the beginning of the River of Souls, you can perform a feat called "Destroying the World" where your beams bounce so many times that it appears the entire hallway has been crushed in an incinedary explosion. To do well in T2, you must remember you command the most complete arsenal of any shooter. Each weapon has a purpose. When you expect close up enemies, use the flame thrower. When you don't know what to expect, use your razorwind. Analyze your situation, and determine which weapon will most likely benefit you the most. Soon I'll add a list of all it's weapons, descriptions, and strategies with the addition of some made up stories behind them because the instruction book, as well as the game, is so uncreative.***** Turok3-- A brand new game. This game has excellant multiplayer and so-so singleplayer. The graphics are excellant, and all the framerate problems of it's predeccessor have been completely resolved. The boomerang is the obvious replacement for my favorite weapon, the razorwind, and it is a worthy successor, though I would still like to have my trusty razorwind. There are lots of tips in this game, too many to cover on the couple of minutes I have to say them. There are bugs you can abuse as well. For instance, when you have the boomerang, quickly fire your `rang and then instantly in your weapons menu switch to another weapon and back to the `rang, then throw it again. You can have almost three boomerangs out at a time. The Mag60 is an excellant all purpose weapon. For those of you who like it's secondary, powerful, fire but don't like being immobile, try this tip. Gather all the ammo you can for the gun, and turn into secondary fireing mode. Hold B, whatever your move forward button is, and fire, but don't release the fire button. You will continue to fire the shots will moving, with the lack of your laser beam--you can have up to three shots while moving after this. For places when you don't want to take the detour around the enemy. In the best level in the game, Starlight, it is possible to take an enemy completely out of the match. If you can play around the corners of the level, near where the health is, you may be able to knock an opponent into the abyss beside it. Normally, this would instantly kill them, but due to the bug, they will stay there without any character control until they are killed by someone else. So you can leave them there and go hunt after other enemies while their score stays static and your's rises. Very unsportsman like.***** Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith--My favorite game of all time, I feel MOTS was a huge improvement over the original Jedi Knight. There are a billion and one strategies for this game, so I will mention my best (the stuff that makes me a reigning leader in the multiplayer on this game). But I'll say it in cryptic terms to keep you thinking. First and foremost, force push, when used in rapid succession, makes a deadly power. No cliffs needed. Chain lightning has a bug that can allow you to chain fire your chain lightning. It will completely drain your mana, but it is fairly unsurvivable even by the most powerful people. More stars in force sight increases your view on the radar, so you get a HUD-Like force farsight. Much much more to come.***** Unreal Tournament***** ************************ And whatever else I feel like putting in there. So far my page is very raggedy, espicially when compaired with my love's, but I assure you, it will reach html heaven before the year is over. ***************************************************************** Again, I must dedicate this webpage to the lady I love, the most gentle, loving, caring and intellegant woman ever.
