Left: My older brother Mike is greeted by the University of Kansas mascot at his surprise 60th birthday party 5 Sep 09. We wrap up that party and more in the 13 September blog entry.

Right: Mike poses with his two granddaughters and "Baby Jay." I guess this second mascot helps K.U. meets a disability quota, by employing a midget.

Left: Mike meets a K.U. cheerleader. Of all the times to be taking pictures, and not pulling out business cards....

Right: The husband of my "middle niece" celebrates a touchdown - by Kansas State, not Kansas. He's a K.S.U. alum, listening on headphones to avoid offending scads of K.U. fans nearby. Smart, very smart.
