Welcome To My World

First, let me introduce myself and tell you about who I am.

I'm Les (Phantom) Rose, Father of 5, Brandon, Ryan, Kayla, Dakota and Tyler. That is oldest to
youngest, and yes, there is a little girl right in the middle. I was born in Ohio in October of 1967.
Father was a truck driver and mother stayed at home with my older sister and me. After my parents
divorced in 1969, we moved around the country, finally settling in Prescott, Az in 1976.

I joined the Army in 85 at 17, doing basic in South Carolina, Advanced training in Alabama and Jump
school in Georgia. I was stationed with the 79th Engineer Combat Battalion (heavy) in Karlsruhe,
Germany as a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Specialist. In 88 I was stationed at the Defense Language
Institute in Monterey, Ca. After learning my language of choice (German), I was stationed in New Jersey
for transportation schooling. Upon completion of that, I was sent to Fairbanks, Ak to join the 6th Infantry
Division and was assigned to the transportation unit until 92. Thats right, I'm an original Ice Road
Trucker, hauling troops, equipment and explosives.

While on active duty, I had the chance to attend several schools. In Germany I attended the
Mountaineering School located in Garmisch, Germany. This included white water rafting from Austria
back into Germany. In Alaska I had the chance to attend Glacier Survival and Intructor Training south
of Delta Junction at Fort Greely. At Fort Wainwright (Fairbanks) I attended a Combat Lifesaver Course.
These were beyond the normal schooling for military members and have brought fond memorys to mind
as I've gotten older.

I left Active duty in 92 and joined my wife and son in Seattle. I hadn't left the military completely though.
I stayed with the Reserves for another 7 years before throwing in the towel. During that time I was with
the 66th Chemical Recon and then the 349th Chemical Decon. Both units were located at Fort Lawton,
Seattle.

During this time (92 onward), but on the civilian side I sold furniture for a year (imagine Al Bundy)
and then went back to the transportation industry. I spent 4 years slinging garbage cans for a company
in Puyallup (pewalup), Wa. As well as going through a divorce. Brandon was the only child we had
together, even though she had 2 sons already. I then met a young lady that had a few children of her own.
We had Ryan and Kayla and I was fired from the only job that has ever fired me (make sense?). Shortly
after, I went driving long haul over the road and she left me.

In March of 2000, I met the lady that has become the love of my life. She is the perfect partner in every
way. Raised very similar to me, by a single mother and then later by a step-father who owned his own
truck. She was used to seeing him coming and going, so she understood what my life was about. She has
supported me in whatever I have chosen in life as I have her. I stood by her while she attended college
securing a degree in medical Office Specialist. We have had 2 sons, Dakota and Tyler and have moved
back to Arizona. She was born here and moved to Illinois where I had lived twice before in my life. She
now attends Yavapai Community College earning her degree in nursing while I drive linehaul out of
Las Vegas.

My mother has remarried a time or two and has added a few more kids to our family. Besides Lisa
her husband Rick and their 4 children and 3 grandchildren, myself and Sue with our total of 6 children,
there is Laura, her husband Eric and their 3 children, Lacey and Steve and their 2 children. Lance (Molly?)
and his band Hour Of The Wolf (watch these guys, maybe underground now, but watch them) and last,
but never least is Lindsey, the baby of the family. Alot of L's wouldn't you say?

So you see, thats me and my life. Isn't the greatest, but its been fun and will continue on for a LONG
time to come. Go ahead and Choose Your Destination below and see what things are of interest to me.

I'm proud to say that Sue and I were married March 14th, 2009 at
the Excalibur in Las Vegas,Nv
