Personal Information:

I am very dedicated and committed in everything I do and that is evident in my ability to maintain a straight “A” average in school a long with a rigorous training schedule of ice-skating 3-4 times a week. I have loved ice skating every since I was four years old when I saw it on T.V. for the first time. I knew instantly that this is what I wanted to do. I chose figure skating as a sport because I enjoy watching it on T.V., being graceful and competing. After asking my parents about ice skating for four years straight, (SMILE!) I was enrolled in group classes at the age of 8. I only participated in group classes for a few months before advancing to private lessons. Shortly there after, I began to competitively skate in USFSA Basic Skills competitions & sooned moved on to more advanced levels in USFSA & ISI competitions. I've moved two levels of test requirements and I skate at the Preliminary level for USFSA and Freeskate 4 for ISI. My goal is to competitively skate at each level prior to advancing to other levels. This will allow me to master certain skills before moving on.

What I enjoy most about the sport is landing jumps and coming out of a spin. I know God is with me because after skating for such a short period of time, I have landed the following jumps: Axel and a Double Loop. I am working on the Double Salchow, Double Toe-Loop and Double Flip. I have also mastered the following spins: Lay Back, Forward & Back Scratch spins, Forward & Back Sit spins, camel spin & camel / sit spin combination. I am learning the flying camel and jump camel. I have also mastered forward and backward spirals.

I am also involved in other extra-curricular activities outside of ice-skating, such as, W.I.C.S. (World Impacting Christian Students), Cheerleading and youth choir at church. I love art, especially drawing, and I am an aspiring artist.
