Your child will find assignments and fun things to do here. The assignments aren't required. However, I will be tracking who does them and there will be yummy rewards for them after they do a certain amount. This will be a points system that I'll explain to them.
The focus is twofold. One is practicing math and Language Arts skills. The other is boosting their research skills. They will be looking for trivia questions related to things we're studying.
I will have a sheet ready for them next week so they can begin earning points. If you read this over the weekend, they can still have fun, but can't begin earning points yet.
I would like for them to begin Study Island now - the more they practice, the better they will do on the CRCT.
NOTE CHANGE OF DATE There will be a gifted parent's meeting on October 13th in the cafeteria at 6:30 to discuss fundraisers. This is for 3rd - 5th grade.Please bring suggestions and ideas. These will have to be approved, but the sooner we start, the more money we can make.
LOLLIPOPS ARE HERE! Students may begin picking them up Monday. I am not in the portable until about 8 - I don't know if I have duty or not. I've started telling the groups this week. (Also for 3rd - 5th grade)
I have not been able to talk with some groups. I will have an information letter ready. If you read this over the weekend, have them come out Monday and I'll give them the letter. Otherwise, they will get it on their gifted day.
