Note: According to "The Vrooman Family in America" p167, Maria Vrooman (1445) married John Somers. Maria was the Daughter of Jacob Vrooman (b 1/20/1794, d 9/24/1876) & Catherine Hiller (b 1803, d 12/20/1868).
Jacob was the son of Barnibus (also called Barent) Vrooman (b 10/28/1767, d before 1851) & Katherine Fritz.
Barnabus (Barent) Vrooman was the son of Theunis (b 6/27/1738, d 1780) & Marytie Ackerson (or Martytie Ecker). They were married 2/22/1763. Both were presumably massacred along with their youngest son, Pieter. Theunis was a Captain in the Revolutionary War.

He purchased a farm on the Schnyder Patent, in division lot No. 7, to which he removed as early as 1765. Here he lived to the age of eighty-four years, leading the active and laborious life of a frontiersman, and leaving to his son Gosen, or Hosea as the name is now written, the fruit of his labor, in a choice and well cultivated farm, in one of the most fertile districts of the State. His children were Johanna, Catharina, Elizabeth, Gosen, Adryan, and Benjamin.
