My name is Nichole and I am 20 years old and currently I am a waitress at a local bar. I live in Northwest Georgia where I have lived all of my life. I have two older brothers, Pierre, my oldest brother, who lives in Georgia also. Pierre recently got married on November 15,2006. congrat bro. He also just found out that they are going to have another baby in october. WOW 6 kids. My other brother is Larry, he lives with me and my mom, kind of weird to have big brother back at the house but it gives me someone to go off and do stuff with.br>
I own one dog named Mallory.Mallory is a 6 year old border collie. I took Mallory in from a friend when they were going to send her to the pound. I could not even think of someone sending a full blooded border collie to the pound, so I begged my mom and dad untill they told me that I could have another pet and that's when I got Mallory.
My family has several barn cats that hang around our house. I am a real animal lover so I feed them even though they are not mine.
I have been around horses since I was five years old. Although I do not own a horse at the present time I hope to be getting one very soon. I did ride for a local stable which raises and trains Walking horses. I have shown a couple of times in juvenile events and in young adults. I placed first in the juvenile racking, which was very exciting for me because this was my first time competing. My friend Candace has aught me a few things about barrel racing. Eventually i would like to learn how to do break away roping it is somthing that i think i would enjoy doing.br>
In the future, I would like to own a palomino quarter horse. I would eventually like to work my way into showing whether it be barrel racing, break away roping, polebending, or just western pleasure.
Some of my other hobbies include surfing the net, traveling, hanging out with my older brothers, and doing things with my family. I was the editor of the school newspaper when I attended school. I enjoyed doing it, it was alot of fun. I have been to over 34 different states in the United States. I was in FCCLA (Famiy Career and Community Leaders of America) for two years but tings went wrong and I had to quit. I was the Pubilicity Officer of this club. I attended the meetings that were held out of state and in different parts of the state. I had been in FCCLA since my Freshman year in high school. I am also an officer in FFA (Future Farmers of America), I have been in this club since my second term of my sophomore year in High School. I am presently the Vice President and last year I held the position of Secretary. I enjoy going to do different activites with this club such as poultry judging, cow judging, and competing in trail rides. I am also in Key Club. Key Club is an organization across the United States in which serves there community and school when in need. I have to do 25 hours of community service in a term which is 18 weeks. Some of the things we do is go to conventions, rallies, help at nursing homes, and help children around the community whether it be playing with them or cooking a meal for them.
When I get out of school I would like to major in tax accounting or landscape and design and minor in journalism.
Through my life there has been a lot of people to help me. Some have raised me to be the person that I am today and some of them have just helped me along my good times and my bad. They have all been there to listen to my problems, answer all my questions, and help me the best that they could.
My mom and my dad have been here with me the most. They have been there with me through everything. They have taught me how to walk and talk, how to have respect and how to drive. If it were not for them I would not be the person that I am today. On December 16, 2003 my dad passed away of a massive heart attack. This has only brung me and my mom closer. I was such a daddy's girl and I miss him so much. There are days that I just feel like I can't go no more but I know that he will always be there next to my side to guide and protect me.
My brothers Larry and Pierre have also done alot in my life. I have looked up to them since they were older than me and they have shown good examples for me. Although we have had our good times and our bad, we have made it through life together. We have had good times such as going out back and sighting in their guns or just going to the river and throwing a line in.
My best friend Candace has taught me alot also. She is a barrel racer and she loves to go out there and show and have fun for what she does. She has four horses in which are two Quarter horses and two paints. She has a barrel racing horse named Pepsi. She has won many of ribbons in barrel racing and polebending. She has taught me alot of things about horses also and she has encouraged me to keep going and never give up. She is also teaching me how to barrel race which is very exciting for me because I have always wanted to get into it and I am anxious to learn. Candace is the one who is helping me do this website and even through my stubordness she is getting me to the end. She has been there for me every since I have known her. Candace is getting married in October of 2003 and I will be on of her bridesmaids. We are both really excited and cannot wait untill the day comes. I wish her the best of luck and many more to come.
This is my best friend Candace and her horse Pepsi. She competes all over the state of Georgia and has won many of times. She is also the one teaching me how to barrel race off from her horse Sugar.
My other really good friend is Bob. Bob owns a local horse stable called Walnut Creek Stables. He has taught me more than anyone ever has about horses. He has taught me how to ride properly, not to be afraid of a horse when riding because a horse knows when you are scared, how to groom a horse properly and everything else there is to know about horses. I went to my very first show with Bob and he has helped me through alot. He has helped me keep my grades up and keep reaching out and finish school, so I can go to college and be a veternarian. He is a great person and I have had alot of fun being with him and his family.
This is Bob and his American Saddle Bred Bonnie, a blue ribbon winner. Bob enjoys competing all over Georgia. He goes to a show about every weekend when the wheather is permitted.
