The Golden Concert Choir was originally formed as the Golden Chamber Choir in October 2000. In the spring of 2003, the adult choir was becoming too large to remain a chamber choir. The name was officially changed to Golden Concert Choir to more accurately reflect the choir size and type of performance pieces we were doing.

The current choir size is around 70-80 singers. Members are mostly from the Golden area with a few coming from other greater metro areas.

In the fall of 2004, the Golden Community Choirs organization was registered.

With the additions of the Children's Choir of Golden and a sub-group called the Festival Singers, a blanket organization was required to encompass all of the divisions.

The Golden Chamber Choir (dba Golden Community Choirs ) is a 501(c)(3) corporation and as such, can accept charitable donations. Donations may be tax decuctible.
