The Sims Online (PC) Review By Aidan Grace Imagine being able to completely recreate yourself; to live your life vicariously through your alter ego. Sounds pretty cool, eh? Well, now you can. Thanks to The Sims Online, created by EA Games and Maxis, your dream can now become a reality. That is, if you can get the game to work. For those of you that have actually had quality playing time, the game is great! You get to interact with other gamers, earn skill points, make money, and even fall in love! For those of you who haven't, don't waste your money. Sure, it may sound awesome, but in all actuality it just isn't. I've had the opportunity to talk to other gamers who are frustrated with trying to get their game to load. Additional people have complained about the game shutting itself down for no apparent reason (myself included) and others have to wait hours for their game to update. And we're paying $9.99 a month for this? I don't think so. In my opinion, Maxis released the game much too soon. Sure, there was a great demand for it. After all it is a step up from the regular Sims games. However, it seems to me that more people are having problems than there are actual people playing. With all do respect to the creators, I don't want to sound like I am completely bashing the game. I have been able to play it and from what I have experienced, it is a fun game. I would definitely recommend it in a few months when they get the tweaks worked out =)
