Halo (Xbox) Review

By Gray Fox

Well, I noticed it was missing from your reviews section, and some PS2 fanboys need proof XboX rules them, I thought I would write a review for the best game on Xbox!

Graphics:

Nothing like this has been seen in any video game ever. The attention to detail is absolutely mind-blowing. I have zoomed in on some things and noticed that the detail and time put into this game played off. Possibly some of the best graphics on Xbox right now. It hasn't left my mind since it came out. I still play it today. The graphics look so fantastic, especially on my 72" flat screen projector (jealous yet?).

Sound:

Almost surpasses the greatness of the graphics. Different environments make different footsteps, the music is great too (I love the theme song). The soundtrack is in stores and I'm thinking of buying it. All of the sounds are so well done, the voice acting is top-notch, and it all pulls together without a skip of frame rate.

Gameplay:

Worth buying for single-player alone. I've played through it countless times (I am still) and it doesn't seem to get boring or too easy. If you're looking for a real challenge, try legendary mode. Most levels include team-based play, but some are also full of you fighting hordes of Covenant by yourself.  The multiplayer is phenomenal. With 26 preset game types, including vehicles, it also allows you to create your own game type (includes weapons, vehicles, kill limit, TQATD). It also has a system link option, to hook up to 4 Xboxes for a total of 16 players in one arena. Intense. With a free software program called "XBConnect" you can also play halo online with other players.

Replay Value:

This is pretty much covered but I think you won't get bored with this game for a long time. With online multiplayer, you wont take it out of your Xbox anytime soon.

Overall:

Very, very nice. Xbox power put to the test.
