"Wolf's Den - Continued"

It was over. He had done it. She had gotten the best he knew how to do. Lying beside her, he watched as she drifted off into a peaceful undisturbed sleep. Closing his eyes, he knew that sleep for him would be a long time in coming. He propped himself up on one elbow. Just watching her sleep gave him a sense of peace and contentment. Finally, he had found what he had always wanted. Love. He knew this one was for real. After a long while of just thinking about her and dreaming, he lay back down and eventually fell asleep. The last thought he had was of Britany.

Britany slowly opened her eyes. For a moment, she wondered why she was facing a different wall than she usually woke up to. Then remembering, she became aware of Jesse next to her. Looking around, she realized that it wasn't quite daylight. The clock told her that was only about five-thirty.
Careful not to wake him, Britany slipped out of bed. As she did, she felt the pain. Sore didn't describe it. Very gingerly, she moved around the room gathering up some clothes to put on. Heading to the bathroom for a shower, she stopped at the door of the bedroom. He amazed her still.
He lay with an arm flung out on top of the white comforter. His blond hair strewn around on the pillow looked as soft as it was. His dark skin contrasted with the white of the bed. All added together, it was enough to leave her breathless, especially when she thought about the events of the night before.

As she finished her shower, she quickly brushed her wet hair back and slipped on the jeans and Tee she had brought. She walked to the kitchen for a drink. It would probably be a while before he awoke. That time would give her a chance to think about what her parents would say. She didn't care, they could raise all the hell they wanted, but it wouldn't change a thing.
Britany walked back to the bedroom. There was nothing to do but wait. Sinking down on the floor, she pulled her knees up and sat watching him sleep. He looked so innocent, so sweet. He was, in a way, but she knew both sides of him. And she loved them both.
Nothing to do but wait,...
