Perhaps, much of my view of the French is based on The Simpsons, the one where Bart is enslaved during the "student exchange program" reserved for the best and brightest . . . Some might view this as rather childish, and in fact will use it as more ammo for the French view of the world. Just a few months ago I also wouldn't dream of using a cartoon to charcterize an entire people but now The Simpsons has the official sanction of get this the Anglican Church (ironically enough in this context). The new Archbishop of Cantaburry actually said something along the lines that the Simpsons was one of the subtlest pieces of propaganda in support of humality.
