This box contains a brief legal description of the property changing value. Our computer system only allows 25 characters for this entry, so it is a very brief description. Lack of space necessitates that we use a lot of abbreviations and short notation in this description; and that can make it very hard to read.

In the sample notice I have used an easy-to-read description "Town of Trion - Section 1 - Lot 235". Easy to read, maybe, but not necessarily easy to understand. It can be helpful though ... especially if you have more than one piece or type of property. For instance distinguishing between a personal property account and a real estate account ... or between a subdivision lot and an acreage tract.
