Occupational Therapy


The goals of this program are to help children and adults with physical, emotional, and mental disabilities effectively perform the tasks of daily living. Educational, vocational, and recreational activities are utilized to reach these goals. Some of the licensed occupational therapist’s duties include helping clients regain physical, mental and emotional stability and helping them to learn or relearn daily routines.


Some disorders treated include cerebral palsy, general developmental delays, autism, down syndrome, hypotonic children (low tone), hypertonic children (high tone), strokes, developmental delays due to prematurely, ADHD, ADD, vision impaired.




Weight bearing on upper extremities.





Proprioceptive sensory and spatial input-calming and body awareness system.





Vestibular input. Alerting and organizing sensory system.
