A dark cloud hangs over Georgia now, the dark cloud of oppression. They took our flag, our glory, our piece of Pride and Great Southern Heritage off of the Georgia State Flag. Why? Because of threats by the NAACP. If any of you know your history well you would know that this same type of bullying was done by Adolf Hitler before World War II. He would come and take whatever country he wanted and the allies let him do it. For Peace they said....And Peace it was...years of fighting, lost lives...families to go without fathers and brothers and husbands...all in what? In the Name of Appeasement. That is what they are doing now. Appeasing those that would like to see every bit of history that we have of the South, thrown into the mud and spat upon. Just to make life a little easier for themselves. If John Adams and Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock all the Continental delegates decided "Oh this is going to make us all die paupers and everything weve worked so hard for is going to be gone...lets just not do it its to risky"...Where would we be today? Under a British King or Queen thats where. We wouldn't be free. We wouldn't be able to voice our beliefs or have any rights that we enjoy. But Thank God above that they took the chance knowing what was in at risk for them. And Because of them we are free today. That is a lesson for everyone to learn, if you believe in something so strong, you take the risk to defend it, to fight for it, to die for it if necessary. The history of the South is a very important part of American history. It shows just how people, if they believe in something so strongly, that they will cut their ties and fight for what they believe in. The Civil War was not fought over slavery, although the NAACP wants everyone to believe it was. If it was a War over slavery, then why did Ulysses Grant the Great Union General refuse to give up his slaves until 1867? 2 years after the War was over? The war was fought because of the North unfairly taxing the South on both her imports and exports, and not giving Her fair representation in the house, and senate, NOT SLAVERY. The NAACP constantly fails to show how thousands of Black yes BLACK men fought in the Confederate Army. They werent told to fight in it. They could have ran North anytime they wanted to..but did they? No, they did not. They spilled theyre own blood on the battlefields just as the White men did. But the NAACP doesnt want you to know that. Because Jesse Jackson is the next Hitler. Because he is going to keep stirring up trouble and wanting more and more until the people have had enough, and we have all heard the saying that history repeats itself....We might see it do just that in the near future.
