Social Science Major
Welcome to my website. My name is Luke Jernigan and I have recently graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University. My major was Social Science in Secondary Education. I student taught at Sumter County High School under Mr. Askerzada. I taught Government, Economics, and an A.P. United States History. I am now employed by Marion County School System. I am teaching Georgia History and coaching football and baseball. Extra Curricular Activities: I played baseball for two years at Darton College and one year at Georgia Southwestern. Honors: I received the Marcus Baker Memorial Scholarship my sophomore year at Darton College. I made the Dean's List at GSW during the Fall 2000 semester. Recent news: I just got married to Melissa McGlaun on June 1, 2002. She is an 11th Grade English teacher at Tri-County High School. We have a new puppy named Annie.
