The Language of Flowers
In days of old, flowers were not givin merely as thing of beauty, but rather as a way of expressing feelings. If a man gave a bouquet of honeysuckle and apple blossoms, his secret message was,”You are
preferred and I am devoted to you.” This is known as “the language of flowers” and has become universal.

A Little Common Sense
Cut flowers will keep longer if you add a little salt to the water in which they stand and change it frequently. The salt slows the growth of
decay-producing bacteria.
