Introduction

Well, Sharks, I'm sure you all know, I'm your new Pres. This is my first time writing The Sharks NL, so we'll see how it goes. :) Enjoy!

Club News

As I'm sure you all know by now, especially if you read the introduction; I am your new Pres. I have already given a speech and said this is my first time doing the NL...so...I don't think there's a whole lot I could say here... :)

When I originally took over the club, it seemed like everyone didn't care, and that I would probably just end up putting the Sharks to rest. However, it seems to be just the opposite, 69% of you are VERY enthusiastic. (The rest are either simply participating or are about to be mailed and most likely kicked out due to lack of it.) :P Anyway, only 10 of you want the Sharks dead, so I don't think the Sharks will be dying anytime soon.

I see big things ahead for the Sharks. (Then again, some of you don't care what I see, do you? 0.o) (Hmm...okay..so maybe not BIG, but I definitely have seen things.) I am currently working on the webpage, and it looks to be a good one. I have reset many things in the club, and changed the ranks a bit. We'll probably be having elections by next Saturday. One very obvious good sign, is that we've actually succeeded in getting out the first NL since AUGUST 6th!

One last thing, EB0und is now your Co-Pres! He still doesn't have as much time as I do, HOWEVER, I expect you to treat him with equal respect as you would the Pres. Still send all mail to ME, however, if I'm not online, please ask EB0und, as he still has the same authority as I do.

The Newsletter

From now on, the newsletter will be delivered on Fridays at 8:50 P.M. Central Time. The newsletters will be anywhere from two parts to four parts depending on how much information there is that week.

Meetings

Meetings are an important and essential part of every club, therefore, I expect to see at the very least 10 people at each meeting. Meetings will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Thursday meetings will be smaller, and it is not necessary for you to attend them, however, they will be there if you want to drop in.

Tuesday Meetings:
7:30 - 8:30 E.T.
6:30 - 7:30 C.T.
5:30 - 6:30 M.T.
4:30 - 5:30 P.T.

Thursday Meetings:
(Note: You don't NEED to be at this meeting, it's just if you feel like it. Thursday meetings will only last for a half hour.)
7:30 - 8:00 E.T.
6:30 - 7:00 C.T.
5:30 - 6:00 M.T.
4:30 - 5:00 P.T.

Saturday Meetings:
8:00 - 9:00 E.T.
7:00 - 8:00 C.T.

Message Board

The message board will continue to be open to all members, I'll try and get the leader name changed ASAP.

Webpage
The webpage is 5% completed. I'm not sure when it will be done, please mail me and tell me any ideas you may have.

Quitting The Sharks and Changing Your Screen Name

If you would like to quit the Sharks, mail me and then you'll be taken off the ML and out of the club. If you are going to change your name, please tell me so you can retain your name and whatever things you may have achieved in the club.

The jobs have been reset. Please sign-up for any jobs you see that you'd like to have! You can get tokens and promos according to the rewards section under each job!

Member Recruiter:

Purpose: To recruit new members.
Rewards: Get 6 members and you may have 1 promotion or 1 token.

Purpose: Make programs for the Sharks.

Purpose: To make and/or find pictures for the Sharks.
Rewards: Every 2 pictures you make/find is worth 1 promotion or token.

Purpose: To make webpages and scripts for the Sharks.
Rewards: A site is worth 4 promotions or 5 tokens. 2 pages or scripts are worth 1 promotion or token.
How To: If you have this job you already know how to make webpages and scripts. Webpages and scripts will only be excepted in the following languages: HTML, DHTML, Java, CGI, VBScript, ActiveX, or Shockwave.

Game Hoster:

Purpose: To host scrambler, trivia, and/or other games at Shark meetings and events.
Rewards: You will get 1 promotion or token for every four meetings or events at which you host a game.
How To: When you are at a Shark event or meeting, simply load up the game, ask for permission, then if it is given, run the game.

Newsletter Helper:

Purpose: To aid in the construction of the newsletter and/or provide votes or articles of your own.
Rewards: For every 2 articles or votes sent in, you will get 1 promotion or token. For every hour of time spent helping with the NL, you will receive 1 promotion or token.
How To: Send in an article or vote you have made 1-3 days before the NL comes out. If your assistance is needed, you will be asked to help on the NL writing if you wish.

Newsletter Poster:

Purpose: To post the weekly newsletter for public viewing.
Rewards: Every four weeks you have successfully posted the newsletter, you will receive 1 promotion or token.
How To: Post the newsletter on a page that is yours, keep every issue there, keep it organized.

Interviewer:

Purpose: To provide informative interviews with the people in the club.
Rewards: Every three weeks of interviewing, you will receive 1 promotion or token.
How To: Send the interview to me, 1-3 days before the newsletter is sent.

Meeting Manager:

Purpose: To monitor the meetings if no leader is present.
Rewards: For every meeting monitored, you will receive 1 promotion or token.
How To: Take charge of the meeting, allow people to chat and allow game hosters to host games.

Message Board Manager:

Purpose: To monitor our message board and TOS people who are using really bad language or are very heavily slamming someone. Also, read all of the posts, and notify me of anything big or unusual that might be happening.
Rewards: For every four weeks of MB monitoring, you will receive 1 promotion or token.
How To: Just mail me anything that you think is important to The Sharks that you see on the MB, and report any really, really bad abuse of language or heavy slamming of a person to TOS.

EB Focus

Threed
Threed is a very dark and gloomy city at first sight. The town has been run over by ghosts and zombies. The ghosts are under order of Belch who hides in another area past Threed. The citizens have formed a militia to try and stop the zombies from reaking havoc on the city. So far their actions have done nothing but provide a safe area inside a circus tent. Travel into the graveyard to find the source of the problems.

Threed Travel Steps

Go to the graveyard
Explore the graveyard looking through the trashbarrels until you come along 2 zombie guards blocking the path. You'll notice a type of door in the ground just ahead of them. Talk to the guards "you are unable to understand them" then be on your way out of the graveyard.

Get info about mysterious woman
Talk to a guy standing next to a building, he will mention a "hot looking chic" in front of the hotel.

Go into the hotel
Follow the mysterious blond haired woman into the hotel. Only to be ambushed by ghosts and zombies. After the attack you are brought to a secret jail cell beneath the graveyard. There Paula will use her psychic powers to call Jeff in Winters. Eventually Jeff will come and save you.

"Well all of a sudden a blue light flashed and a fat kid appeared we have no clue where it came from" Ok lets move on in this town theres lots to see but first lets go to the forest in this area where some king of troble with monsters is going on!
