The History - People

Here in the People section you will find a list of the most involved and important people from the golden days of EB Clubbin'. Compiled mostly by Cueball, please give him your thanks for all this, as I think it is truly one of the more prestigious additions to THE HISTORY...

OnettNess - A younger leader than most of the original ones, he did manage to achieve great success with his club, the EB Gang. Onett started the club in late 97, and it quickly grew to become the most successful club to date. Onett resigned as leader long before the club ended, but it met minimal success after he left. The EB Gang recently ended on January 18th, 2001.

SeCtoRx19 - The man of EB Online. Often hailed as one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, influence on the EB community. Famous for his leaderships of the Sharks and the incredible amount of effort he put into it.

Matingly22 - Now known as Hardcorematingly, he was once one of the greater club leaders. Mat started the Mr. Saturn Gang way back when nobody had ever heard of EB clubs. Although the EB Gang and the Sharks had already been around, Mat started his club before he had even HEARD of either of those clubs. Something to think about...

EBG Ness/Deafcon2 - Along with Sector X, he too earns the respect deserved by many hard working leaders. Facing personal tradegy during his role as EarthBound Gang's leader, he overcame it to some degree and returned to be respected president. It is said that his ablitites as a leader brought in a total of over 6,000 members throughout EBG's existance, which is more than then even The Sharks had.

OAFrankFly (now known as Daveman Deluxe) - Probably the greatest member of the EarthBound clubs ever. He's been around since late 1997 until 2000, and still posts at the Sharks AOL message board. Was once involved in a quite famous argument with SeCtoR X19 about whether alcohol is a drug, and got demoted from Elite Shark to Frankystein Mark II for it. Ran his own club, Monotoli Inc. though his arguments with SeC might have kept the club from becoming extremely popular, even though it was quite good for a smaller club. Reached the highest level in the EarthBound Gang, and known for his interest in trivia, politics, Dungeons and Dragons, and his devout Christianity. OAFrankFly is one of the most important members of the EBC.

Loma - Loma's been involved in a big part of the Sharks history. While also in the EarthBound Gang later on, he is known primarily for his relationship to the Sharks and not the EBC in general. Started a war in early 1997 so that SeCtoR X19 abandoned his Army of Nintendo club and forced to work only on the Sharks that SPRITE100 gave him. Later on was part of the Anti-Sharks that included EBounding and Zeromes? that forced SeCtoR X19 to follow a list of 7 demands they had. Known as an intelligent club member and later a Legendary Shark.

MogBacca - One time AAVP of the Sharks, MogBacca also ran his club the Starmen. Made a Sharks prog?

Nikolai64 - leader of the Flying Men and the Sharks. A great member of the many clubs he was in. Had the Flying Men get up to 4th largest club on AOL, but after being selected by SeCtoR X19 to lead the Sharks after he left AOL, Nikolai after initially trying to lead both, quit on the Flying Men, and led the Sharks until around March of 1999. After that time, Nikolai faded out of the scene and by 2000 wasn't apart of it at all, yet still is one of the greatest members of all time.

Rodimus401 (aka Voltron401) - Ran in a few Sharks elections, known for leading a few clubs, including his first one (not sure the name???) and later on the Mach Pizza Delivery. Had quite a rivalry with OnettNess for a long time. Both he and his friend UnityPunk1, another important member of the EBC knew each other in real life. When the clubs started fading away after around summer of 1999 we haven't heard much from Rodimus since.

JohnMcCEB (aka TekKid5203) - Led his own club the Students of Snow Wood, which in my opinion was one of the best, if not the best small club around. Known for his skill in writing, and for being involved heavily in the clubs he joined. Launched several story-based contests, and tried to make a CD with music that would apply to EarthBound. Ran in Sharks elections, and also became a powerful member in the EarthBound Gang.

DHG Down (aka BLu IVIagic, and PoSeR 0001) - DHG ran his own club in 1997 and 1998. VP of the Sharks who claims to have done alot more work than SeCtoR X19 while in that position. Became a Legendary Shark after Nikolai created that position. Known, much like Loma, for his uneasy relationship with SeCtoR X19, that included an argument about SeC's online girlfriend, Mrshmlwbrd typing in yellow font. An interesting member of the EBC, he went to college much earlier than the rest, at about the age of 16, and enjoys listening to bands such as Tool and the Insane Clown Posse. Is now webmaster for www.diehardgamer.com.

PigmaDanga - Pigma's been around for a long time. He joined the Sharks in June '97 after being recruited by TekKid in a Gamepro chat. Besides having his own club (The Exit Mice) and helping out with the Onettians, Pigma recieved the highest rank in the EB Gang not once, but twice after his rank was reset. If that's not the portrait of a dedicated EB Clubber, than I don't know what is...

Know someone who isn't on the list, but should be? Tell us! Send comments/suggestions to Red. Much thanks to CrazedMogX for assisting me in this venture, most bios are written by him, as he was a hell of a lot more knowledgable about this thing than I.
