1. 4" heart doily (see craft supply info — S & S catalog). Glue two together on sides with glue gun. Leave top open. Print out on computer and cut out "create in me a clean heart, renew a right spirit within me" verse and glue with rubber cement to front. First time saw these done person had a small hotel type soap in them and doesn't seem like it had verse on it — we just knew it was "clean heart." When we tried it, some of the soap was too heavy. So came up with idea of using a small piece of red terry cloth. First time bought cheap washclothes and Rit dyed them Scarlet.
Lesson learned — cut the washclothes AFTER you dye them, not before or they get all raveled and tangled together — but we untangled and used them. For next time, went to fabric store and bought red terry cloth. Also — got some leads that about companies that make hotel soap and plan to see if can get some really small lightweight soaps from them .... Thought this was especially nice to use for pillow agape.
Have sample can scan.

2. Chicken cup — yellow solo cup with stuff to make it look like rooster, string from top, piece of sponge on bottom so can grab string and pull and make it "cluck."
Have sample.

3. Small piece of paper or cardstock
Mustard seed verse: Matthew 17:20
Glue mustard seed on.
This is a great inexpensive, quick one to do — LOTS of mustard seeds in bottle you buy!

4. Prayer rock with prayer rock saying. Request by email if need the saying.
Have sample.

5. Masonry (squarish type of nail) about 1 1/2" long Spray paint it gold
Glue a pin back to the back of the nail with glue gun Pin this pin you've made onto a piece of paper that has "FORGIVEN" written at the top and Psalm 103:3 at the bottom.
Have sample.

6. God bag. Brown lunch bag. Fold over at top and hole punch one hole. Tie curly type ribbon through and tie in regular bow (not curled). Glue "God Bag" saying on the front. Dayspring has a longer one than some other God bag sayings have seen. Email if need longer God Bag saying. Have sample.

7. Fanfold ribbon or paper angel. Lace ribbon too expensive when making 65 — so have tried regular typing paper cut with the decorative type scissors that have recently come in the stores with all the scrapbook stuff, etc. Email if you want more exact directions. This takes some time — you have to fan fold 12" strip and two 6" strips and then put them together with wire wound around. And make halo out of gold metallic pipe cleaners with stem that goes through round head bead with face (order head beads with faces from Craft King) and stem is stuck down in the pleats so that it is together with the rest of it when wire is wound around. Then tie a small red bow out of 1/8" ribbon and glue on front. This kind of hides the wire. Also bought a bow shaped hole punch and punched out some red paper bows thinking that would be less expensive than ribbon.
Have sample.

8. Hat hooks (or tie clasps). A lot of people, esp. people that fish wear them on the bill or the side of their baseball type hats. They could also be used as a tie clasp. These are the big gold hooks that are specially made for that purpose. Make poster board or card stock fish shapes and cut out. Write "fishers of men" complete verse Matthew 4:19 at the tail end - have tail end up and start writing down toward the middle of the fish.. Write, curved so that it will look like the gill, at the other end: "Hat/Tie Clasp." Hooks are made by Eagle Claw. Have scanned in so can send picture if you wish. Am using scanned fishes (3 to a page) and printing out on heavy paper now instead of cutting out of poster paper. Have sample.

9. Clam shell angel. Glue hole stopper (found at building supply store — Lowes, etc.) on top and draw face on. Put store bought wings on back. (Have also seen ones made with a bow glued on back). Put hanging string or ribbon on to hang.

Variation: Glue head bead on. Put halo on. Make arms with thin 1/8" ribbon - glue on one side, slip medium faceted bead on (so it will hang in middle) and then glue to other side. This one had woodsie heart wings. Ribbon and faceted bead same size. Have sample.

10. "Bloom Where You Are Planted". Tiny flower pot with silk or dried flowers;
Variation: saw flower shaped pasta at a craft supply store and thought about making a card with that saying and pasting the flower shaped pasta on. When searching on net for pasta one time found a store from which one can order all shapes of pasta. To find — search the internet by looking for pasta or pasta shapes.

11. Large vinyl coated and therefore colored paper clip. Tie a short piece of rainbow ribbon to one end. Attach paper clip to a card with this saying: (Have sample.)
"This rainbow clip you see
Will help you immensely,
If you clip pages 26 - 34
You'll flip with ease
When the leader says turn
In your Emmaus book, please."

12. Masonry (squarish type) nail. Dip pointed end about 1/2" in red paint. Tie red yarn on top so can be worn as necklace. (Or I have on rear view mirror in car — only it worries me there sometime because the nail hits the windshield if road is particularly rough.)
Dayspring gives this out and a paper agape that has Jesus foot on cross with blood dripping out — these are the only two things given out after Dying Moments. Have sample.

13. Care Kit — there are several versions — some longer than others. (Care kit is things in baggie with saying explaining what the cotton ball stands for, the toothpick, the bandaid, etc.) Email me if you want more detail or saying(s). Have sample of some.

14. Rose of Sharon ring. Small red silk rose ( about 1/2" or less in diameter). Cut hand out of construction paper and write saying(s) on labels or put saying(s) on hand drawn on white copy paper and copied on copier. Have sample.
Saying: Wear your Rose of Sharon ring.
When did for Chrysalis, added some lines from a song called Rose of Sharon with identifying info.
Take stem of rose and wind it around a finger so that it can be slipped on and off like a ring. Make ring big enough that person can take off the paper and put it on their finger.

15. Bandaid. Type on labels and stick them on: "I am the Lord that healeth you. Exodus 15:26"
(have sample.)

16. Earrings made with perler beads — with long wire that has loop at one end. You use pliers to turn up other end after you get beads on, I believe. And then hang the other end that came already looped onto an ear wire to make earrings. Also, someone found some screw or clip type earrings at craft store that had a part that one could put that loop on and then take tweezers and close up that ring — so one could make non-pierced earrings that would look very similar to the pierced ones. My thought is could give out pierced earrings — but then have an ALD or someone announce after everybody has seen that piece of agape — that for those of you who don't have pierced ears — hold up your hand or see us later — or something like that — "we have some earrings for non-pierced ears and you can exchanged the pierced ear ones for the non- pierced ones." Have sample.

17. Poster paper or manila file folder key shape cut out. Write or put typed label on:
"Open your heart to God." Have sample.

18. Candy cane and legend of candy cane — talks about the cane and the stripes and what they represent. Email me if you need the saying. Put saying on red paper, tie to candy cane with white curly ribbon. Have sample.

19. Cross made from 1/8" (also designated as 3 mm sometimes) satin ribbon and plastic canvas. Plastic canvas is cut a certain way so that ribbon is criss-crossed when it is put on — it is not just straight up and down and back and forth. Have sample.
Saying attached: Take up your cross and follow me and whatever book and verse that quote comes from.

20. Poster cut out of tennis shoe; tie yarn as shoestring. Can tie yarn on all cutouts — or cut out one and put yarn shoestring in and then copy a bunch — so will have xeroxed shoestring.
Write on it --or type and glue on original before copying the Paul's verse about striving for what is ahead .... Have sample.

21. Poster paper cut out of tennis shoe — see details above. But instead of that saying, make friendship pins and pin the pin on the xeroxed shoestring. For friendship pins use safety pin or special craft safety pins that don't have the loop at the other end. Use two seed beads (very tiny — I didn't realize what was ordering when I ordered--seed beads are about the size of tiny tiny ice cream sprinkles, or lead pencil end, etc. ) or "E" beads (which I should have ordered) — one "E" bead of each rainbow color on pin (haven't determined safety pin size yet. Decided to put pins on drawn and xeroxed tennis shoe so they would know that's where we had in mind for the pin to be worn. Has saying on the tennis shoe about this friendship pin — wear it on your shoe and let the colors remind you of Chrysalis and friends made there — something to that effect. Email me for more specific saying. Have already scanned in shoe so can print on the computer — that way the shoestrings are colored and not black. So can send scan - 3 shoes to a page.

22. Decorative ribbon that has hammer, saw, screwdriver, wrench printed on it. Cut piece about 6" long. Have sample. Attach to saying:
"Let this bookmark remind you that
God has given you the perfect tools
for living. THE HOLY SPIRIT, PRAYER, AND THE WORD

23. Pretzel — put magnet piece on back. Tie to card or paper with history of pretzel. Email and ask me for saying. Relates to 1 Thessolonians 5:1 and some of saying is: "arms folded in prayer — pretzel means "little arms". Eating pretzels reminds us Christians to pray. The three sections formed by the crossed arms represent the Trinity: God as creator, God through Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. Use this magnet pretzel to remind you daily to pray without ceasing. This is not the whole saying though — just little parts of it. Have sample.

24. Make a fan — (smaller version of old square funeral home or church type fans — sample I have is about 3 ½ x 4" I think (I didn't measure — just guesstimated). Draw and color rainbow across mid top. Glue popsicle stick on as a handle. Below the rainbow, write:
"Fan into flame the gift of God. 2 Timothy 1:6. Have sample.

25. Poster board cut out of megaphone. "Shout the good news." Have sample.
