Growing up in a small tight-packed house during my childhood I was deprived of many childish things (like a trumpet). I had seen musical instruments and had loved to hear them. I watched in awe as I heard the bands play at the football games. And heard other people I knew play them. I started my musical life off with the piano. I would play our tiny family piano which had been passed down for hours learing the notes and technique. After nearly two years I became bored with the piano and started searching for something new. I would find myself drumming on everything I could get my hands on a still would fiddle with our piano.
In fifth grade I was offered the chance to play in the elementary school band, but they said I would have to miss art class to join. I wasn't ready to make that sort of sacrifice. In giving up this chance I forfeited getting a even start with my peers. I went through fifth grade with nothing musical to occuppy me. All I could do was drum and play a few notes on the piano (I wasn't too great). Finally once I entered Whitewater middle school, I joined the beginning band along with some of my friends (Thomas, Stewie, and Danny). When I had first come into the beginning band I wished to be a percasaunist. Yet once a heard the brillent sound of the trumpet I knew I had to play it. Stewie, a trumpeting comrade, and I imedaitely bought trumpets. I learned the notes and became a good player. Although when I began I gave up another important opportunity. I never got a private trumpet instructor. I studied on my own learning how to become better and better. I finished off my first year as first chair trumpet in our class.

Now I am part of our school's symphonic band which is composed of the best seventh and eight graders of the school. I am currently am 4th chair, but am struggling to regain my rightful 2nd chair position. This year I founded the Trumpet Revolution. And started several webpages until I was happy with this one.

Trumpet players do not give up. Keep trumpeting no matter how deep of a slump you are in. All trumpeters have their downs, but you can overcome your problems. Even I at one time found myself not at the height of my musical ability. I was not motivated and stoped practicing. I wanted to quit band. But then I found new joy in my trumpeting quest and continued practicing I grew better and better. But I have suffered from slack off as my rivil(JKB) has become more talented. Now I am striving agian, my skills are growing, my tone maturing, my sightreading inproving, and my sound is now more enjoyable. I just advise everyone to continue playing.

I apologize for having no picture of myself. If I did have one you would see a 8th grade trumpet extremist with his trumpet in hand. Thank you.
