We are still at the mercy of the elements.
Though predictable patterns can be found,
Controlling the weather is a different story.
In this day and age it is unfamiliar ground.
A fire someone started burns out of control.
Rain running off cement leads to more floods.
Wind patterns created by planes and skyscrapers,
Are hard to distinguish from the duds.
Trees are disappearing every day.
New trees hardly slow the rate.
Nature is strong, but not invincible.
It is easier to destroy than to create.
Time to take action is in the present,
The sooner we start, the more prepared we will be.
Controlling weather is still beyond
The limits of our technology,
Yet there are things we can do
To keep the environment from getting worse.
Good planets are hard to find
So the one we have we need to nurse.
