When the usual noises are not around
A faint whisper can sometimes be heard.
Since a noise that faint is rarely found
Some people will say such a noise is absurd.
Listening closer still, words can be made out.
Words originating from the secretive, timid, or weak.
Usually drowned out by the nearest shout,
Even faint words can be important to speak.
Whispers can sometimes be in code,
Known only to people familiar with such talk.
Trying to understand it can be quite a load.
Babies could whisper before they could walk.
Although a faint whisper may never be understood,
Learning from it can lead to something good.
