Disguise

DISGUISE By ... Steve Lucky Someday I hope to remove my disguise And reveal my true identity. Even the best illusions get covered in lies, So its beauty the world will never see. Increased pressure from verbal attacks Hinders attempts for the truth to be shown. Kindness and politeness fully backs A way hidden intentions can be made known. Reguardless of age, in a new situation, Anyone will need time to mature. Additional problems from inner fustration, Makes it hard to ever be sure What a person truly meant To do when in a state of rest. If I can change my environment, Chances are better for doing my best. Reality is much deeper Than the solid objects that we see. To truly be a justice keeper, Righteousness must be kept free. Disguises I have worn for years Will not be easy to remove. Slowly, by conquering my fears, I find a way this can improve. Copyright 2001, Steve Lucky
