The capital of Dominica is Roseau. Roseau, formerly Charlotte Town, is in southwestern Dominica. The population count of Roseau in 1991 was around 15,853 people. Roseau is situated at the mouth of the Roseau River. It's a port, and serves as Dominica's main commercial and transportation center.
