New South Manifesto

A specter is haunting America, that specter is Southern Nationalism. The Southerners of America have to long lived the under oppressive scrutiny of the Yankee controlled Federal Empire. Since our brave forefathers set out to make this a free republic with liberty and justice as its hallmark, the enemies of freedom, and liberty, have contrived ways to destroy us. The federalism that originally brought forth our Constitution was a fair system of laws ensuring rights and liberties, not limiting them. Since, our sacred Constitution was destroyed and molded into a power grant for the Federals. Beginning with Abraham Lincoln, a series of Presidents and Yankee legislatures have used the Constitution to limit the liberties and impose their own schemes onto the people, specifically the Southern people.

After the threat of personal liberty became ever strong, our Southern patriots commenced to form their own destiny, and consequently their own , new Republic. However, the Federals, foreseeing a collapse of their sacred “union” denied the South its right as given by God and declared by Thomas Jefferson, “When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.” Thus denying our right, we were forced to gallantly fight an oppressive foreign army, which was to much for our fledgling Republic. Since then, the Federals have given a biased, incorrect history of the War of Secession, and in bedded shame into our children for our actions involving slavery. I do not advocate slavery, but it is unfair to claim the South fought for slavery. The South officially abolished slavery in early 1865, by de facto, the Union slave states didn’t until the 13th amendment was passed in December of the same year.

So we come to the present, a shameful, pride less, oppressed South has been subjected to Federal authority, Federal bigotry and general hatred. How much longer will true, Southerners accept this? They have destroyed our heritage, taken our liberty, yet we continue life as if all is well. I call on all Southerners, white, black, hispanic, and anyone else who is proud of their Southern Nation to rise up for our rights, and challenge Federal authority, and abolish all ties to it. We must educate the children in our schools, we must write our history, we must elect our own to office and we must stand united against the Federal Empire. Honorable means, such as peaceful protest, peaceful disobedience, and peaceful withdrawal are the preferred methods. We should strive to make the local governments pro-South again, and we should limit the Federal involvement. We should establish new state constitutions and appeal to the Federal Congress for grievances, using the Constitution as our guide. If, however, this means should fail, there is only one other plausible action to be undertaken.

Even with honorable means and the use of the Constitution as a cornerstone for our demands of Southern Independence, I fear the Federals, with their distorted, power focused view of the Constitution, well once again attempt to deny us our rights and liberties and forcefully oppress our cause. In the event, in fact, in time, when this occurs, I believe it not only the right, but the responsibility of all great Southern patriots to forcefully expel Federal authority, and establish governments without the consent of the Federal overseers. If they dare challenge our New South Republic, we must once again invoke Providence and prepare for war. Only through self-determination and discipline as well as sacrifice will our cause succeed. The Federal overseers have the power to prevent any conflict, the ball is in their court, but we cannot sacrifice ideals, and liberty for peace, sometimes war is the only course for freedom.

In conclusion, I call on all Southern Patriots to unite, defy the Federal Empire, dissolve the ties that bind, ask God to guide our quest, and restore power to the local governments, and the people. If we fail to stand up for liberty, we sacrifice the future, and our children. We need not world sympathy, we need not Federal consent, we need only the will of God and our own determination to secure our New Republic. Southerners of all creed, Unite!

We therefore, the Representatives of the Confederate States of America, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name, and by authority of the good People of these States, solemnly publish and declare, That these Confederate States are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the Federal Empire, and that all political connection between them and the Federal Empire, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the Protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”
