Another one of my facinations is with unicorns. I guess I really like fantasty creatures. The Unicorn can be found in legends all over the world. What is a unicorn? A unicorn is a mythical, one-horned, horse-like animal. Is it mythical? Were they real at one time or not? I guess it depends on how much you want to believe. I would prefer to believe that they did exist. Ancient Greeks amd Roman myths describe the Unicorn as a mystical creature. They were a symbol of purity. At times throughout history the Unicorn's horn was an ingredient for medicines and spells. It was considered a strong safeguard against poisoning. It was also believed to ward off stomach trouble.
One of my favorite stories is "The Last Unicorn"
by Peter S. Beagle. Take the time to read this wonderful book.
