The Kings signed Bill Wennington, a 12-year veteran and member of three NBA championship teams, earlier today. Wennington is 36 years old and has averaged 4.6 points (.460 FG%, .786 FT%) and 3.0 rebounds in 713 career games in his 12 NBA seasons. Wennington is most known for his time with the Chicago Bulls in which he won three championships, but Wennington has spent time with Sacramento before. In his one season with Sacramento in 1990-91, he averaged 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 77 games.

The Kings' Vice President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie had this to say. "Bill Wennington brings us another player to add to our depth who has veteran playoff experience. He has a good locker room presence, and can do a lot of the little things on the court that can help your team win games, like passing, shooting, and setting screens."

This is a great pickup for Sacramento as they have been looking for a backup center for a while. Wennington is 7 foot tall and weighs 277 pounds. Hopefully, the Kings can re-sign Corliss Williamson, to make this offseason complete.
