Here's some information you may or may not know about me:
My favorite music is contemporary Christian, but enjoy all types of music (especially 70s stuff!) I sing in two music groups at church, one of which is a praise team for our contemporary service. I also sing solos. My favorite music group is Avalon and favorite solo artist is Sandi Patty. I love musicals.
I have a 12-year-old nephew and five-year-old niece that I love spoiling rotten.
I have an nine-year-old cat and a three-year-old dog that are also pretty spoiled.
I recently moved (4/2001)to the Kansas City, KS area from Marietta, GA. I worked out at Gold's Gym in Marietta, GA (Austell Road location)during the 125 pounds lost and had originally joined the Gold's Gym in Olathe, KS; but got tired of the rude, uncaring staff there and joined the new YMCA when it opened, which is a fabulous facility with tons of nice caring staff and fellow clients. I started an e-mail support group of medical transcriptionists who needed to lose a lot of weight back in April of 1999 and we've had a great time getting to know each other. Members are from all over the US and Canada (hi "ladies!") Sorry, we closed the group to new membership in case you were going to ask about joining it.
I work as a medical transcriptionist supervisor for a hospital in the Kansas City area.
I have an older brother who is employed as an architect with an international architectural firm in Atlanta. It is rumored that his contributions there have been more than astounding over the years (even though I did start this rumor). I have a younger sister who is a personal trainer. Yes, my sister has designed/coordinated my workout program. She has recently published a personal budget workout book and to read more about it go to:
Budget Personal Trainer
At times I have accused her of trying to kill me in order to collect life insurance money because of the things she has made me do in the gym!!!
While in Atlanta I did volunteer work with the Consumer Action Center/Clark Howard, which is a consumer education radio/TV program heard all over the country now, based out of WSB-AM/TV in Atlanta (web site is posted below).
My favorite soft drink is Mr. Pibb/Dr. Pepper.
My favorite meals to eat out are Mexican, seafood and pizza.
My favorite Bible verse is Deuteronomy 8:18, "Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth." For me this means not only financial wealth but the wealth we create in friendships and general knowledge, and we should thank God for these.
