Bassapalooza '99 Huntsville

Well, folks... this is it!  Rod Banach, Mike Travis and their wives pulled it off... Bassapalooza '99 was a raging success. On this site are the pictures taken during the event, with accompanying narrative supplied by yours truly... the oldest guy there... who traveled the furthest (Conyers Ga to Huntsville Alabama)... with the 5th best upper-scale bass (out of 5!... it's something when an Alembic takes 5th out of 5.... sigh...)

Okey, Dokey....
Let's start with the food. The most incredible Salsa I have ever had.....ummm, stay away from Rod's hot sauce - unless of course the idea of 2nd degree whole body nuclear burn brings you particular joy!

Our two heroes... the guys responsible for making Bassapalooza the incredible salsa-eating, ribs-devouring, soda-guzzling, bass-playing extravagansa that it was....
Wow. Do I have gas or what... and not just from the basses I saw, either. It was a long trip back to Atlanta.... sorry, Jim. Good thing the windows rolled down.

Mike Travis and his wife, Kim....
An awesome couple, and an absolute blast to be around!  Just look at those smiles!!!!
Hmmm.... makes you wonder what they're up to.....

Rod Banach... Co-host and keeper of the corn....
Next time you see him, ask him about his Patsy Cline eight- track collection.
